Nice ... meanwhile my city's sponsored Chargepoint CCS chargers have rates that are crazy high and make them completely cost prohibitive! For a brief time, they had 2x free Chargepoint Level 2, but they now charge over market kWH rates for those as well. AND they keep on raising property and sales taxes! Oh well, at least someone's city in CA is doing something right!

Yes, this is Tesla staying one foot ahead of anti-trust issues in a more regulated Europe.

I don't see this happening in the US until Elon Musk gets the attention he wants/craves. He does not do anything unless he is forced by regulations, or his ass is kissed enough and made to look like a savior.

You have to remember that Tesla acts on the whims of Elon Musk, and as a supreme narcissist, Elon Musk will not do anything unless he is worshipped enough to make it worthwhile.
The use of CCS in Europe also helped.

well that's fantastic, Im going over there tomorrow to load up on some power. I'll bring the i3 that way too while it free. Its 21 cents/kW to charge at home.
