Hey guys. I’m part of the Havnby Team and we want to make sure that we take care of the R1 folks!

What are you guys currently using for mattresses and what are you looking for in one? I know some of you are using our products that aren’t custom molded for the R1 but work well. We‘d love to learn and see if we can serve you guys better.

Model Y Snuuzu. Excellent setup. Use it in my RTT and in the bed as well.

Luno. In particular, like that I have the option to just use half. Or adjust comfort levels separately on each side.

I use the Luno Air+Foam Pro mattress for my R1S. The combo of air and foam is the way to go IMO.

I have an Exped that fits very well in the back of the R1S, between the wheel arches. My biggest challenge is that all this bedding–including comforter and pillows, because we’re old and bouge–takes up a lot of space. I like the idea of the Luno, that can be split in half for a solo trip. I might look into that.

I've camped in the R1 once with just a sleeping bag. That was fine. If I wanted/needed a mattress I'd go all the way with something like a Hastens. j/k.

Use a memory foam twin mattress from Ikea, cost about $100, easy to roll when not in use.

I don't like air mattress, they are costly, difficult to inflate between too soft and too hard,
they are very heavy to carry, and when one is moving, it bounces and wakes up the other person.
