Last week, I predicted they would throw us a bone to keep us occupied while they worked on whatever was slowing progress.

Well, if you want to describe what came out as a bone, it was a rather large t-rex bone.

From here, I would think we should start to see regular releases of information. After all, the Guides have to tell people they are contacting a wee bit more than 'send money and we'll drop it in front of your house'. It would be totally pointless to provide information to those at the front of the line, while denying it to those at the back. Somebody at the front is going to spill the beans!

The next obvious step is to release the interior measurements, following up on what we already have about the exterior. So, that's what I'm going with for this week.

I would hope that, considering several people already have confirmed Guide appointments as early as tomorrow, that Rivian would put out the interior run down of the R1T but obviously in relation to the sizing of Gideon.

Also, I know a big one I'm pretty sure guides will not even touch will be the EPA ratings, or they will with "that information will be available SOON and we are AS EXCITED AS YOU ARE TO FIND OUT" token CS response. If they haven't released it yet, which I do understand as they are doing validation of loads of Rivians in real world conditions, but they should at least have a better idea and would have shared the numbers prior to a guide interaction to save that common out of the gate question from being asked.

Another thing I hope the guides can do, is at minimum, give the customer they are interacting with during the interview the answers they are looking for, or the exact date the information will be made available. If they can't, I feel like they'll be crucified over the phone by some people here.

I would imagine this week, besides what we learn from guides will be the interior information. Not only has Rivian said they would release that information next, but the guides can't say oh that question you have about the UI and available apps is coming soon. I mean they can, but that would be very odd.

Would anyone actually order without knowin range number? I wouldnt. Isn't the Guides to take orders and confirm what you want?

Interior is obviously in the works (or finished waiting for release.

They also need to release pics of the colors, so people can finalize & order.

Yes but not necessarily on the first call. I imagine these first guide calls will be nothing more than introductions followed by several more contacts before ordering.

I have a feeling that we will find out the Guides are your personal Customer Service Rep who will get to know you and figure out the best way to tell you "S00N" and they are "as excited as you are".

I am actually very glad to be a year away from my LE R1T. I am confident that when my guide calls, it is literally how to make payment and when/where to deliver. There will be no unknowns on the R1T or R1S.

Have a feeling people will be disappointed with the Guide calls. They probably won't have interior or EPA info. Could be just a bone they are throwing at the crowd. Does anyone think this will be the call where you can order the car, insurance and get financing?

We will learn that the total quantity of people contacted by guides is less than we hoped. We will also lean that July deliveries will be in (very) late July. Finally, we will learn that guides will not have as much information as we all hoped.

We may learn a bit more about the interior, but I think that's doubtful at this point.

We will learn absolutely nothing more about Launch Green.

Not a chance. I don't think Rivian is ready for production. They won't allow ordering until they finalize the design and have the production line finalized. I think July is pushing it for delivering a vehicle that hasn't been "locked" for production.
Like others, I think they missed the EPA estimates. Not just by 20 miles, but I am guessing 50 miles or more. All of their off-road and torture testing resulted in low miles and I am sure they played it off as harsh environments leading to lower economy. Then when they started going for 300+ miles they had to remove as much stuff as possible (ie off-road package). It will be fun watching them put the R1T and R1S on a diet. Where will they cut weight? Will the panoramic roof make it to production? I bet it will be an option before too long.

You realize their field testing has nothing to do with EPA testing, right?

The pano roof actually helps with manufacturing. It provides a large opening for the welding and adhesive robots to access the body.

We'll learn those blue/black configuration first contacts were just coincidence and Launch Green/Forest Edge will be #1! I'll post a pic of my email when I get it later today ?
