You can see what appears to be deployed side impact bags on both sides of the truck.

I wouldnt... unless you dont have one..

But I talked to a engineer.. The proposed fix for the cover is complete replacement. Cover, motor, sensors, and wiring. They are waiting on the engineering samples to be "proven".

I wonder if Rivian has a process for prioritizing replacements for totalled vehicles, or if the owners are just SOL and have to get at the back of the line for a replacement.

So COPart doesnt have a title on that truck yet. Still waiting on it to be processed by the bank.. Hopefully its not Rivian, could be a long time as the guys waiting on registrations have found out.

This just solidifies my above comment about it being repairable.. VERY REPAIRABLE... Assuming you could ever get parts. Hood is straight and clean, so all front header panel parts, fender, 2 doors, an airbag, seat belt repair possibly, SRS module clearing, done... Maybe a tire. If I knew I could get the parts, I would consider it.. Plus a paint job.

Edit: I rebuild wrecked cars as a side hobby.. If parts were available, and a paint slot was open at my local painter (6 month wait currently), this is a 2 week job (or less). 10 days of that is sending out the SRS/Seatbelt modules to get rebuilt, and waiting for them to come back.
