Yep. Very grateful for EA and the cross country travel that would not have been possible otherwise.

buuuuuuuuuuut not as good as California (for EV charging, not living)I'm sorry to break it to you, but this is just more proof that Colorado is better than Utah. ?![]()
I don't believe there is a RAN in Cheyenne? There is a decent level 2 charger at the Target that I noticed finally opened and people are reporting good results. I think there's also a Tesla charger there.I just also realized that WY is just as bad. Actually kinda worse, because the only RAN is in Cheyenne; diametrically opposite from Yellowstone/Tetons/Jackson region.

There's definitely a Tesla Supercharger in Wheatland and I'm hoping that gets opened up by next summer as we make multiple camping trips going through there.
The majority of WY is oil country with lots of big ICE trucks. They are not too EV friendly and are actually fighting with the Feds about the mandates to get some of the EV money. There's long stretches of nothing that it's hard to get power lines out to and the mandates call for a station every XX amount of miles.
If this construction journal bid invite is correct, the Cheyenne, WY is currently under construction and set to be finished by 11/10/23. Those of us in construction (and likely everyone else) knows to be very skeptical of those dates.... but still. That's promising!RAN in Cheyenne is a coming soon location.
I don't see any reason to be skeptical. A lot of these new RAN sites have been cranked out pretty quick. For example permits were issued for The Dalles, OR in July and it was live in September. If this construction journal bid invite is correct, the Cheyenne, WY is currently under construction and set to be finished by 11/10/23. My comment was more to the point that I've been in construction my whole life and I'm not sure I've ever seen a project, residential or commercial, that was completed by the date shown on the original bid documents.I don't see any reason to be skeptical. This site was first added to coming soon in late September so November isn't out of the relm of possibility but never know what kind of construction delays could pop up. Still sure it will be ready sooner then later and wouldn't be surprised if I make use of it this winter on my snowboarding adventures.
Unfortunately, despite Utah's pretty decent information access laws, virtually every city in the state uses permit portals which don't allow for public searches. There are only a few which do, and out of those, none of them have had permits filed yet.I’m a very amateur permit sleuth, but I’ve found Utah to be one of the hardest states to search in from a permit perspective. My guess is they are out there and coming sooner than later.
The two RAN locations found to date by @TeamEV were the Zion one from a Rivian presentation and The Creamery in Beaver from a town meeting.
Rumor has it that the utility wanted millions in infrastructure upgrades to make it work so they scrapped the plan. Or at least that is what has been reported on other threadsUnfortunately, despite Utah's pretty decent information access laws, virtually every city in the state uses permit portals which don't allow for public searches. As much as people think that Rivian is ignoring Moab, they actually bought/leased a plot of land near the Park a while back, but certain issues (related to grading I believe) stopped the project dead.
AGREE - Kanab, Moab, Page Arizona even Escalante would go a long way to covering the southern utak wildernessI really wish Rivian would put a RAN charger in Zion like was said a long time ago. They also need one in Moab/Arches/Canyonlands, Bryce, and Kanab area.
Utah in general has next to no charging. Nobody drive's EVs there. I just road tripped through there on the way to Idaho/Montana and back and for what it's worth I think I saw about a dozen Teslas in all three of those states, and only a single Rivian.
There’s a Tesla Magic Dock in Moab. One single waypoint (slow) charger in the whole state of Utah? With all that amazing outdoorsy stuff to do in the state, from skiing to canyoneering, to MTB'ing Moab... like more national parks per capita than anywhere in the world.... UTAH?
Who's fault would this be, Rivian's, or Utah (government's)?
Anyway, just a mini rant. I was amazed to see almost nothing in the RAN map in that state. CO next door has several.
