I sent a note to my guide last night and received an out of office reply this morning. I’m in the April/May group for a R1T LG/FE 20” Bright. My understanding is my guide was watching the production vehicle list for a match. Does this mean while he is on vacation I can’t get a vehicle assigned? The OOO message did have the name of another guide I could ask questions. So I asked them also.

So I had a call with my backup guide. He said there weren’t any vehicles matching my build available but if I was flexible he could find a vehicle. I told him I could be flexible and be found a R1T LE LS/FE 20” AT Bright with Underbody shield being built in normal. I asked if he could match me to a vehicle at any of the service centers in California and he said he could only match me to Normal or my closest SC (SSF) even if I am willing to pick up.
He said the truck being built in normal could be shipped, inspected and delivered this month. I asked if I could pick up in Normal and he said, “no.”
So now I’m apparently matched with a specific vehicle and should soon have my 8 steps open up. The config changed in my account but I did not get the email saying my config had changed. We shall see if I make more progress tomorrow.

My guide told me there is a digital purchase process that matches you with an available configuration and they cannot see inventory. Sounds like I have a rookie.

Just curious how long it took from the time you (and others) first spoke with your guide to point where you were matched with a vehicle (and delivery scheduled if that has occured). I had a call with my guide yesterday and have completed the preliminary buyer's agreement. Just wondering.... Thank you!

Mine did as well. He said if there was any delays to my configuration, we could look at changing. On the 1st call, he said email was the best way to get ahold of him. I emailed him to change my configuration. After 30 hrs of nothing from him, I reach out to customer service. They said they would drop him a note. The customer service lady said my guide was a great guide. He called me within 10 mins from that chat.....I guess I have to reach out to customer service to get in touch with my guide?

I will say, I have felt like my guide has been absent and non-responsive when I have needed a response. However, last night he was texting me around 1030p and working with me on a speed bump and eventually we called it a night since the sales team would need to assist with my speed bump and they would be available in the morning.

My tone has now shifted, I got the impression they are completely swamped all day long with working with all of their customers, working to get their trucks ultimately delivered!

I know we are all anxious and some have been waiting for 3yrs now. They are human and I believe the guides are working long hours to accomplish the goal of deliveries for customers!

Good point - but I am sure they are also getting paid for it - don't think anyone is working for free here. I don't blame the guides but the comms, overall, from Rivian haven't changed much. I think I may need to unsubscribe from all posts on the forum because the anxiety is getting to me - lol. I check my account on Rivian daily hoping I hit the jackpot and a guide gets assigned.

I got guide assigned with 8 step process but need some information, like mileage for financing and not been able to get my guide to respond for last 2 days. Tried every thing even CS but no response. How do I escalate it?

I have seen from next day to a week for the 8 step process and that has the VIN, so basically at that point your vehicle is ready and as soon as you can finish the steps, you can have delivery in a week, if not earlier. You get 6 days to complete 8 step process

Excellent! Fingers crossed. Besides being anxious to get the vehicle, my interest rate lock dissapears next month on my credit union loan. Thanks!
