I think they should prioritize “teen mode” and/or “valet mode” - call it “Turo mode”; to me that’s the biggest blocker to wider Turo rentals. I wouldn’t feel comfortable renting mine out for kids to make TikTok videos of them jumping the hills here in SF in my precious EV.

I bet the Turo market prices would fall significantly if you could put up an 80mph limiter on the Rivian for anyone renting/borrowing your vehicle.

As it is you gotta price out the reckless people if you want to rent it out.

I feel strongly about this because I think secondary rental markets can help break through hesitancy for some consumers. My partner is FARRR more open to an electric now that our insurance paid for an EV temporary rental when our car was stuck at the shop, it was painless. Think of all the households considering this car or EVs in general, but they probably aren’t going to put down $500 a day to try it out…

I wish I could unlock/access the charge port, gear tunnel, activate tongue cover, release the tailgate when I unlock my truck which is only the drivers side door.

As it is now I have to unlock all the doors to get at any of the above.

I wish they would fix that. Unlocked is unlocked one door or more.

Also, kind of related, PIN to unlock. By the way, I trust my teen, just not some of their friends.

Alarm clock mode - car pre-heats or cools at specified times, so M-F 7:30AM ready to get rolling and fully A/C'd and battery conditioned.

Gaia integration....or, at least, I want the ability to send .gpx files for routes I create online, directly to the truck to follow. This is better than driving and looking at my phone or iPad every time I come to a junction when I'm following (for instance) forest roads or trails.

I think I mentioned this before but I’d really like to see context-sensitive labels for the steering wheel controls on the driver display.
