Anyone know if YouTube TV works with this update? In my tesla I’m able to use YouTube TV within the YouTube app. It’s nice to watch live tv while away from the house.

It definitely works when casting from YTTV app on phone. I’ll test the native YT app later. Not sure it does though.

Native Youtube app doesn't have TV that I can find, but I also can't cast from my phone despite many others being able to.

Odd that Tesla’s implementation allows for YouTube TV but Rivian doesn’t.

It does. Just about anything that supports Google Cast works. There are already examples on YouTube. Maybe make effort researching before assuming and spreading assumptions?

I’m talking about native within the app. How about reading post first before replying?

Finally set this up yesterday. Added my iPhone via the Rivian screen using the QR code. Still didn’t work, so I rebooted my phone. After that, Rivian became an option when casting in the iPhone’s YouTube app. Smooth sailing after that. Good luck!

Just to clarify looking to see if anyone was able to get YouTube TV working natively in the YouTube app that is in the vehicle and not via casting. I’m aware we can cast.

Unlike the Tesla implementation where YoutubeTV is a selectable option from the main menu in the Youtube app the Rivian implementation does not have this.

That’s a bummer. Forces you to get Connect+ then to use.

You need connect+ on either case.

If it worked natively then you might be able to use your phones hotspot and not need connect+.

In the 90s, we were all so happy when DVRs solved the problem of being forced to watch TV on someone else's schedule, with ads, and bullshit between shows. And now, people are purposely watching it again? WTF!
