I agree. It says it can't do it for safety reasons, but by that logic, there should be some kind of lock on the physical buttons, because it is a lot easier to accidentally hit one of the buttons than to accidentally say "hey Rivian, open my window".

you literally need to be thinking outside the box here. perhaps a safety edge case but consider someone standing outside your vehicle with a bullhorn saying that....

I’d like full text conversations from the connected phone to be recalled, Not just the current drive conversation.
Also, punctuation seems to be a problem.

Same thing when I connected my garage door opener to my Google smart speakers. It said it couldn't open the door for safety reasons. Imagine someone yelling in through an open window to open the door...

Yep, that's the reason my Google home can arm the home alarm via voice command, but not disarm it I'm glad the devs thought of these cases.

IIRC Lucid does allow voice commands to open the trunk/frunk, and with either VoiceID or gating the function to when the vehicle is in Park and is unlocked, I think it could be workable. I believe Tesla also has a feature that automatically opens the frunk if UWB detects you are standing within 2ft at the back of the vehicle, presumably Rivian Gen2 has similar UWB capabilities and this wouldn't require an extra sensor or microphone on the exterior.

It's unfortunate that the only (current) calendar integration seems to be with Google calendars. Many of us that are in the Apple ecosystem, instead of running Android OS on our phones, don't use Google calendars at all.

I've already submitted feedback using the link at the bottom of the main screen on the phone app, which is what everyone that is posting on this thread needs to be doing. Send the feedback to Rivian through official channels instead of posting it on a forum that, in reality, won't change the status quo.

One real feature request - it would be nice to ask Assistant to mark a current location as a speed trap, accident, or road work, for purposes of crowdshare navigation. I've never wanted to dig through an on-screen menu while driving to do these kinds of things, but would happy ask Assistant to do it.

I am on Android and recently moved to using Google more (in part because Samsung is ending their messaging services). But I have had multiple calendars synced for years, going back to my Blackberry days. I received and installed this .15 update late this afternoon. Now RA can access and add events to my Google calendar, but can't see any pre-existing events...

No luck selecting vent preset A/B. I left feedback via RA. Hopefully we'll get that capability in the future. That and music app playlist support.

Man, I’d just like it to work. Can’t even turn on the defroster without a cellular connection. You would think there would be enough hardware in the car to do simple vehicle-specific things locally as cars have been doing for years. That’s all I really wanted.

She couldn’t even find the closest dc fast charger, directed me to a Tesla station 15 miles away when there is a ChargePoint 1/2 mile away. When confronted, the assistant admitted that charger exists and is close by, then blamed the web search results for why she didn’t put the closest one first.

Ability to give analysis of estimates. For example, "What is my estimated range given my current speed?"

Specific answers: "what restaurants are around the next charger?"

And then of course, just enable any command that can been activated by touch screen. Specifically, fold/unfold mirrors by voice. Maybe even a few new ones, like the go around indicator lights for when you are trying to keep acceleration at a minimum because you have 50 gallons of paint in the back.

Just set mine up and noticed an issue with Google calendars as well. My account has multiple calendars associated with it (default, family, etc.) but Rivian seems to only sync with the default calendar. I'd rather not duplicate and merge everything into one calendar as that gets quite cumbersome to manage. Hopefully they'll also be implementing a way to select which calendar(s) within a single account get synced, as well as support for multiple accounts (personal, work). But looks promising so far in my limited five minute test.

This may not be exactly what you want but someone on Reddit posted ‘point cabin air vents to me (or away from me)' works.
