Disappointingly, Miss Go Electric’s latest (yesterday) YouTube review (albeit pulled by a CyberTruck) of a production Pebble suggests substantially shorter boondock battery duration. I can live with that, but others might see it differently.

Probably because she owns a Rivian. .;) Hard to break the habit, even in a loaner CTruk.

However with the Pebble I think you can actually stay out *longer* and with *more* capability (HAVC/electric use) than a typical travel trailer.

So in reality I would say you can spend way more time off-grid with the Pebble Flow than you can with say an airstream of the same size, IF you are doing the same things with both trailers (heating, cooling, cooking, microwave, lighting, using computers, etc.)
Agreed - as you say, that is probably more of an 'apples to apples' way to look at it.

A lot to like with the Evotrex. Except production start expected late 2026. First deliveries 2027. If they deliver on time and features and price doesn’t change, could be a real contender. All Chinese R&D, manufacturing, and financial backing. ‘Squirrel Power, Ltd.’ Guess it loses something in the translation. And, of course, will be exposed to tariffs de jour. But great features list.

Do you happen to be near Great Basin National Park at the moment? My gf and I drove up from Vegas yesterday ans stayed overnight at a place with these cabins near Garrison, UT. Then this AM we drove up through Baker, NV we saw a red R1T and a green Pebble parked at this little RV site near at the gas station. Was that you?

Setup looked great. Wanted to check it out but didn’t want to interlope. Nice rig!

Thanks for sharing the towing information. I really like the concept but to be honest I really do not like the RV layout from this builder. If I am going to spend that much money on a travel trailer it will have to have a layout that I love. First thing is a comfortable real bed, second for me would be a slide-out, even if it is not large. And also service locations that are not several states away. There will be several of these type of units hitting the market in the next few years so it should be interesting.

Out of Spec got their hands on a Pebble to try out for a few weeks, I'm sure there will be lots of lengthy and detailed videos coming.

How many miles per kwh did the pebble consume when the tow assist was active? Did you have to go out of your way to charge the pebble during the trip?
We got our pebble on May 7 and we are on our 3rd and longest trip. We typically use tow assist almost all the time except when in a town or pebble battery is getting low. We average around 1.9 to 2.1 kWh. We have needed to unhitch and hitch at most charging stations but with auto hitch we have unhitching and hitching down to about 10 minutes each.

I’ve been looking at the Pebble and currently have a 2023 Rivian R1T PDM Max pack. Here’s what Grok calculated.

I asked if I charged from 10% SOC on both, the Rivian will get to 80% faster since the Pebble DC charges fairly slow at 44-50 kw.

The Rivian reaches 80% first because it accepts significantly higher power (peak often 200+ kW early in the session, with session averages frequently 150–190+ kW). The Pebble is hardware-limited to ~45–50 kW.

Using a 35-minute Rivian 10–80% session as the reference timeframe:

• At a sustained ~45 kW average for the Pebble → ~26.3 kWh added.

• This represents a ~58 percentage-point increase in SOC on the 45 kWh battery.

• Starting from 10% → ~68% final SOC.

Slightly higher sustained power (e.g., ~48 kW average, reasonable at low starting SOC with LFP chemistry) yields ~28 kWh added → ~72% final SOC.

I think the assumptions are incorrect. The Pebble is not going to be at 10% when you pull up to a charger. It's going to be something higher than that. You aren't actually charging 10 to 80 on both at the same time. That's why I asked an actual owner of the Pebble what happens in real life.

What is the typical SoC the Peeble is at when you arrive at a charger? I'm curious how the power usage is going and if taking the load off the truck is worth it or not. Thanks for sharing your personal experience!
