Semi-active suspension only comes in the launch edition?

I saw on YouTube that the semi-active (dynamic dampers) in the Performance Trim is only offered as part of the Launch Edition. That is the non-launch Performance trim doesn’t include it. Is that confirmed? And would it be offered as a separate option beyond the launch edition?

No, it's a standard feature of the Performance trim. It just so happens that the Launch Edition is the only version of the car available right now.

All the Launch Edition extras, except maybe cosmetic things like Launch Green paint and the special launch color key fob, will be available as options once the Launch Edition ends.

Yesterday (6/10/26) I test drove the Performance trim at Fort Myers service center and I was impressed. This car’ll be a complete success for Rivian; I’ve a reservation and will order the non-launch Performance trim (don’t want the extra stuff in the launch package). I had my present Polestar 2 for almost four years and don’t expect actually getting the R2 before 2027; demand is much more than production capacity.

The “extra stuff” in the launch edition is a tow package and a lifetime self driving subscription thrown in for free. Why wouldn’t you want that? Otherwise the launch edition is identical to the performance trim and the same price.

Uh, yes. The Launch Edition is the Performance trim, plus a couple of extras thrown in for free. The extras are Autonomy+, the tow package, and a special key fob.
