Maybe y'all are right and it's not sleeping and prob is safe to drive. Since we have the Bronco I haven't been too concerned, we're actually going to take the doors off today. My new 12v's will be here today so I'm hoping everything can be cleared up after I make the swap.
I wish I could take the doors off my R1. And the roof. Especially with the weather like it is today.

I do miss being able to do this so much.

We took the roof off the Bronco and quickly realized we are not a convertible family. Southern summer sun, especially at the beach, is next level.

Yeah, try AZ sun. But I'm sure they make these bikini tops for your Bronco. I loved it.

Just replaced the batteries in the R1T. Took about 45 minutes, including the time it took to grab the tools and climb into the frunk. I’ve replaced the original AGM batteries for LFP in my boat, this was less annoying but more stressful.

Just got my set of batteries and will look to install them today. I can't believe how light they are. I also got the battery monitor and assuming that it goes on the primary (driver's side) battery - correct?

Driver side batt is the one that counts, so that's where I'd put the monitor. if the new batts aren't fully charged, it's good to do that before you install them.

Would be great if you snapped a few photos for us while you're at it ;)

Good luck with the job!

Just finished up and job was straightforward but I STILL HAVE THE 12V warning despite multiple resets. Going to give it some time and see if anything decides to fix itself.

I checked batteries from OHMMU and they were just about fully charged and checked my old ones and they were definitely mostly dead (SOH 0 & 29%) Photos below

I installed the BMS across the primary (drivers side) battery and strongly thought about putting ring terminals on the leads but went with what came. I set battery type to lithium and it gave me 73% SOC so not sure what is going on there.

Hoping this doesn’t become a post about multiple trips to the SC to figure this out.

And yes, I found out that I need to replace my air filter - yuck!

If the 12V alert is triggered because of the 2nd battery, apparently the alert can’t be cleared via RIDE, but requires Rivian to come out and reset.

I placed the battery monitor on the secondary battery, primarily because it was easier to place it there.

I also used the 10mm battery leads to secure the wires from the battery monitor, not the 8mm screws, because these bolts seem to be the primary way to secure the terminal blocks

Curious what type of SOC readings you are getting from the battery monitor. Mine went from 73% when I first hooked it up to 0% currently but the voltage up to 13.21V. I may just take it off.

The %SoC on the ancel app is meaningless. Just track the voltage.

So far, the 12V Ohmmu battery seems to be holding up well. This is my 5 day graph from the ancel battery monitor app
