100% there should be an "eject" button. The human passengers should not be trapped in a death drive (potentially) like this:I'm not sure what your point is.
It seems you want the user to have an eject button or something?
While their knickers turned out just fine, that "scenic" route might have been dangerous. And even if not, the passengers should have SOME control. NO?Couple of friends arrived about an hour late for dinner last week. Apparently, they used Waymo and it took a "scenic" route. They could not do anything at all. Just sat there until it finished.
Its there.I want a "stop now and pull over" button.
I guess people are just putting up with the crappy ride then? After reading about sex hookups in Waymos, I have no desire to ride in one. Nasty. Its there.
I would rather pay more for a Waymo than play driver roulette. Also, I'm not the only crazy person who's willing to pay MORE to ride autonomous taxis over people-driven taxis. Some study a year or two ago showed that most people will pay more to avoid the uncertainty of taxis/Uber/Lyft.
Also getting a taxi/uber/lyft in the middle of the night is a nightmare. Don't think Waymo is going to cancel my ride because it doesn't feel like taking me to the Airport. Also not really trying to make small talk with anyone at that time either. Also, I'm not the only crazy person who's willing to pay MORE to ride autonomous taxis over people-driven taxis. LOL, exactly. I have a bunch of Waymo videos, even when I'm not riding in them. Waymo stuck at the airport because some asshole couldn't be bothered to close the door...Don't think Waymo is going to cancel my ride because it doesn't feel like taking me to the Airport.
You can reposition any discussion by purposely mis-stating the premise and reason.Apparently, the future will be filled with misanthropes who feel so threatened by their fellow citizens
It's interesting that they had to have Scotty do that and not just tell the computer, right?Somebody warp me back to reality.
