Who HASN'T been invited to order with an early reservation?

Counter point: It is a good thing that invites are slow going out. The longer it takes Rivian to work through the reservations, the higher the take rate. Who cares if you get get an R2 by end of June but the company goes bankrupt by September? All indications are that Rivian has cracked the EV code, similar to Tesla with MY/M3. The production ramp is going to take time, hopefully the LE is available to any reservation holder who wants one.

I reserved maybe day 2 or 3. Have an R1S already that I got with early pricing.

Got the invite to order on 6/17. Reminder email on 6/20.

I'm also within 15 minutes of 2 Rivian service centers. Within 45 minutes of 3 or 4 service centers.

I won't be getting one.

I was way late to the game (March 2026) so not expecting anything soon. However, during my test drive in Scottsdale, I was told the test drive bumps up your priority, and beyond that it's fairly random. So registration order may not matter as much as we think. I want the light color interior so was happy to see that's starting in August.

Ok, that is good to know. Jokes on them. I'm just going to schedule test drives perpetually until they send me an email. Pressure is on them now.

I'm happy for all of those who have ordered and getting their VINs and deliveries scheduled, etc etc....

But misery loves company and I'm starting to feel pretty lonely...
I understand the folks with R1s getting to order already, but there seem to be quite a few non-owners as well.... I had an early day one reservation like most others, so I don't know what the other considerations are that we aren't seeing.

So I'm creating this thread for those of us who feel like the sad puppy out in the rain.... where we can commiserate as being a part of the "unchosen" masses.
For those who say "you're just whining..", you're damn right I'm whining, and I'd like to hear from others who feel the same way.

I am an owner and early réserver, but I live in Canada. Not feeling the love.

I am not a day 1 reservation holder but we have had our T for over 4 years now and live less than 20 minutes from the Chicago service center. If I had gotten a day 1 invite we probably would have ordered one. Now that the hype is over and I still haven't been able to do a test drive we may hold off for the R3X. The R2 was always going to be a place holder anyway.

Day 1 reservation (1:40pm NY time ). Not a previous Rivian owner. I live about 16 miles ( 30 minutes abouts ) from a center. June 9th I received the " you'll know by end of June when you'll be invited " mail

I’ve been lucky to test drive the R2 two times and the R1 once. Huge difference in handling. I got caught In a big downpour on the highway did good but their self drive which I thought was off jerked me so hard I almost lost the steering wheel. They have had delivery’s in Florida but only too the bigger cities. I keep waiting I’m still game.

Early R1S owner with a first 10 minute R2 reservation. No invitation but I was finally able to book a test drive for Sunday. I'm not in a hurry because I plan to wait for Borealis and test drive other upcoming vehicles first.

Excuse my ignorance, but is there a graph of reservation count by days, weeks, or months somewhere? I’d be interested in the load/demand vs production volume from Day-1 over the ramp up of production.

from what I understand, there was something like 68,000 reservations in the first 24 hours. And there’s over 200,000 at this point. Given the stated capacity for this year of 20K to 25K R2’s, I think we are looking well into next year for even the Day-1 reservations to be fulfilled.

Day 2 here, not a current Rivian owner but I live relatively close to a Service+Demo Center.

I'm currently in an ICE vehicle that feels like it's ready to conk out on me before the end of the year. Come ooooooon R2

day-3 for me. …likewise, not a current Rivian owner…driving a 1st year, eGolf that’s showing its age, ain’t no longer worth much, but (knock on wood) hasn’t given up the ghost.

…so what percentage of the 200K reservations do you think the 20K-25K 2026 production goal/estimate is intended to cover as Performance LE bookings?
