Got my VIN assigned today. 1423. My purchasing steps are bork and I can't do anything else yet.

So Jealous!!! I keep refreshing my browser hoping. We ordered on the same day too. Not that that really matters.

I got a phone call yesterday saying that mine would be ready for pickup ”early next week”, so the 29th or 30th. I ordered on June 23rd.

I was pleasantly surprised….and ready but not with everything else since I thought I had 4-8 weeks.

Anyway, Half Moon Grey with 21” wheels. VIN is 1919

Thanks! I did yesterday or the day before but I don’t see myself in there either. Maybe I didn’t hit submit. I will add back and if I show up twice, I’m sure there’s a way to fix.

I placed my order on June 25 2026. Esker silver, black interior, 21" wheels. They are estimating 8-12 weeks.

I submitted the form at the beginning of this thread to add myself to the order tracker.

You'll be happy to know that I got a call telling me my R2 was already at the service center and ready for me to take delivery. Monday is the day. Guessing it was a vehicle that got re-assigned from someone cancelling.

Maybe they are just starting to matchup the vehicles at the local SCs. I was in Canton MA on 6/15 and they had 4 on the lot not yet assigned. They had 3 unassigned in Costa Mesa on 6/23 when I did a R2 test drive as well.

At least I was told they had not been assigned at the time. No explanation as to why.

The closest SC to me in Hayward has no R2s yet. Seems like things are moving slowly here.

Looks like they're surging delivery's to areas closest to the factory before end of quarter to boost the delivery numbers. My guess is the rest of us will see VIN's assigned July 1.

Interesting that there hasn't been any VIN's above 2000 yet... makes me wonder if they halted production to make changes already before proceeding with ramp-up.

Anyone else just get an email that says this?

“We are getting your vehicle ready for production. When your R2 is assigned a vehicle identification number (VIN), you’ll be able to complete the purchasing experience and schedule your delivery.”

Not really sure what this means for my chances of it being ready for delivery by the time my R1 lease is up on the 12th, but good to see some indication of status.
