At the rate Rivian is not building vehicles, it possible Lucid could have the SUV out.
I highly doubt this at the rate lucid is building vehicles. I’m hoping the Kia EV9 and Ioniq 7 are released soon.

i haven’t seen any Canadian folks posting their new pricing (sorry if you already did and I missed it).

Was the impact for you on the same scale as in the US?
Mine went from 122.2k$ CAD to 136.9K$ with the Mx pack…

I'm still on the fence.
My R1T LE configuration went from $79,500 to $91,500. After dropping the underbody shield (2000), spare tire (900) field kit (150) and switching from FE to BM (2000), I'm at $86,450.

I've been waiting for 3 1/2 years and I'm not getting any younger. Waiting another 2 years for a downgraded version or switching to a Silverado EV, F-150 Lightning doesn't fit my timeline. The way things are going, I'm sure the prices will be higher in 2 years. I don't want another ICE vehicle.

What really burns me, is the randomness of who gets to test drive or when you will get a delivery. I pre-ordered on day one (11-26-2018) R1T LE, LG, FE, 20" AT and I live an hour from the factory. I had to beg and plead to get a test drive at the Normal First Mile Event, while others who ordered later and lived further away got invited. Now I watch as people with 2019 pre-orders are finalizing their orders and still get the original pricing. Who makes these decisions ? It's so random and unfair to the earliest supporters.

I’m still keeping it.

The R1S is the perfect vehicle for us.

Im still in -- but more as a case study at this point. I have been more than shocked at Rivian management decisions and as a shareholder, they might just want to focus on fleet vehicles going forward and abort the consumer market efforts. Based on their decisions, comms and timing, it's possible that we get that note this Thanksgiving.

Rivian is destined to be a B-School case study somewhere highlighting the 'what nots to do' in product launches.

...ill always have my watercolor R1T...

I'm still in, with a few variables in play. The next thing I will be looking for is the delivery estimator and I'll be very interested to see how it changes based on configuration and what the relative timelines are now. Specifically I'll be interested in how much the timelines sent in 2021 mirror the new timelines post exodus. The other variable is what else is available in the interim, if I decide to wait for dual/standard. If something comes out that meets my needs between now and then, I'll probably go with that and wait for the R2 series. The prime option at the moment is the Buzz but it's now rumored to be more expensive and available later than originally planned (hey what's that sound like!?)

End of the day, I am able to spend $90k on a Rivian and get it this year, but I'm not convinced I want to or should. A lot of things in play that can affect that.

Keeping my preorder. All of these people blaming RJ probably didn't notice what I noticed. He looks like he's having some serious weight issues in Sandy's video compared to even just how he looked at IPO. Poor guy must be having a hard time.

I’m staying in and psyched for my LE R1S! The price jump hurts but I moved to the Black Mountain interior from OC (mainly to help get my R1S sooner but it also cuts $2k) and I am not getting the underbody protection since I really don’t need it.
i am hoping that with all of the people dropping their orders, Rivian can make good on the June-July delivery date. Once can hope, right?

I'm in. For now. I figured they anticipated the poor reception any price increase would receive and decided against multiple small increases over the next 18 months of production. I also believe this price increase is the reason the Live Delivery Date Tracker has not gone live, as promised, "in early 2022", as Rivian wrote us and told us would happen. They knew they'd lose pre-orders from this announcement, so better to activate the tracker once they have cleared the decks of those who are disgruntled, out-priced, or otherwise lost to Rivian over this news.

I can certainly understand the anger this brutal business decision has caused. After all even now Rivian is still actively marketing itself as a warm and fuzzy kind of company. However, because I came to Rivian fairly recently (just early last year), my emotional investment in the company is minimal. I got hooked because the R1S looked like a tremendous value given the tech it had at its previous price point. And since I have never purchased any car more than 50k previously, I saw Rivian as kind of a bargain priced upscale brand that was also environmentally friendly. Even though it no longer has that tremendous value, it is still an excellent product and like several of the others indicated, there just isn't a comparable electric SUV in the market like the R1S. For that I'm staying put.

I’ve concluded that rivian remains a company that gives a damn… Just not about its customers.

I'm still in. Not seeing any real alternatives that interest me and another 1+ year wait for the Silverado EV doesn't work. I will be paying particular attention to the earnings call next week but am hopeful this moves up my date from 4Q to 3Q, if not sooner

I'm not cancelling right away but i wouldn't say I'm still "in". I get the pressures they're under but it seems like they could be navigating them better and doing more to keep us along for the ride, so to speak.

My take is that unless you need the $1k back, what's the point in cancelling now? It's not like they're going to be asking for any more money, with price increase or otherwise, anytime soon at the rate they're producing. Using online cancel now to "speak with your feet" wouldn't seem to be nearly as impactful as hashing out concerns with a guide while, in theory, nearing purchase. Again, assumes they get to guide contacts (I've not heard a peep as April '19 pre-orderer) and deliveries in some meaningful way.
