Anyone have any insight from CS on whether we can reinstate a preorder and then change models (R1T -> R1S) like we used to be able to?

I am glad the preorder prices are back, as others have said, I potentially would have been ok with 5%-10% increase before, where I may have readjusted some options (color/off road) to keep the price lower.

I do think part of the reason to increase prices was to lower delivery number expectations. So while I am happy to keep the same price, I do think deliveries will be late (or later than they are currently). I think it is important to remember that. Not to be angry about, but to remember they are trying. That being said, if delivery goes beyond someone's expectation, remember, they could have lowered production numbers with a 20% price increase. I may be disappointed if my projected 2022 Q4 delivery is late, but I probably would've cancelled at a March 1 price. I (and others) need to remember that.

I would have told those who cancelled to bug off ?

And now here come the cry babies running back to how great the car is.
Instead of being smug about it you should be thanking those who cancelled. They just saved you $15k to $20k.

I hope they keep the front tow hooks as a token of appreciation for all the consternation created over the past 48 hours!! I like the look of them! ?

I just posted in another thread that I wonder how this will be handled. I like the tow hooks but not enough to pay for full undertray protection to get them. I get the feeling that the towhooks will now be standard on all vehicles so maybe we just got a free bonus...

I have no problem paying the deposit but that’s what was mentioned. I even clarified as it seemed odd. Probably will have to pay it again once they figure out how to reinstate orders.

OK, so the process of refundng you has already started. Probably an Electronic Funds Transaction (EFT) of some sort. Stopping those can be a major PIA and risk failing. SO they will let the refund go through and they will just tack it back on when you purchase it. No big deal in my book and in fact a small "win" for you..

Or at least make them a separate option. The previously quoted $300 prices for them seems reasonable.

Likely they're keeping the revised option structure, but maintaining old pricing.
So the offroad package is still $2000 or whatever, with the change being tow hooks are included on Adventure pkg. regardless of the extra underbody protection being selected or not.

What a ride.

A week ago I was enjoying my EV6 thinking I would probably cancel my LE R1T or at least defer it to a standard adventure trim in a couple years.

They raised the price and I was sure I wasn’t getting an R1T.

Now back to the old price (details TBD) and I am less likely to cancel then before and figuring out how I am going to afford to buy another vehicle this year.

Dumb initial move on the increase!! I would have been happy with a 7% to 10” middle ground but i think they totally did the right thing by the pre customers..
Shhhh, don't give them ideas. ?

Wondering, if all the pre-order holders NOT cancelled moved up in line?

This may have been covered in one of the earlier pages, but did anyone see if they're still doing away with the 5-seat option for the R1S? I have zero use for that extra seat - not just rare use, but none whatsoever. If that 5-seat option isn't returned, I still may find myself cancelling. :|

Though it'll be (a little) tougher to do than if the price increase was still happening.

So is all the pricing going back? Ie Adventure with the powered tonneau, camp kitchen, etc?

Has anyone seen their pricing go back to the way it was? I messed around with the config a few times to see the different ways I can price the truck but ended up leaving it as is at 101k (was 87k). Just wondering how and when that’s gonna happen.
