Not sure really. It's really in perfect condition. Always garaged, low mileage, just needs some new tires. They spent about a week and said none of their locations were interested, and they'd get back to me if something changed. I'll try Plug too. ThxWow why? You can try Plug Motors too
I’m scheduled to pick up Friday; everything is complete in the app, including payment. I have not heard anything from the delivery team. Reached out on chat this morning…still crickets though I was told communication would be forthcoming. I asked for confirmation that the car was at the SC and PDI is complete. I plan to drive to OK City tomorrow for the pickup but don’t want to make a 170 mile trip until I receive some confirmation. Perhaps my expectations are too high but communication is lacking….geez. Not a great first impression for a first time Rivian buyer.reached out to the local delivery team as I was getting conflicting information about delivery. Car is at my local SC but needs some module replaced and can’t get the part. Thought I saw someone mention needing that done. Anyone recall? Is this a serious issue?
ordered July 28 and got VIN same day
I sold my tri-max R1S a few weeks ago to Plug Motors and it was the best selling experience I’ve ever had.Wow why? You can try Plug Motors too
I reached out to Plug Motors. Haven't gone through the whole process yet, but initial quote was really good. Thanks @Jeremy3292 for the recommendation. And thanks for sharing the positive experience!I sold my tri-max R1S a few weeks ago to Plug Motors and it was the best selling experience I’ve ever had.
Just needed to take a few pictures and everything else was handled online. The entire process took like 1 hour, all online while my car was at my home. They wired me the difference between my loan payoff and their offer, which was easily the highest anywhere ($84k for my trimax with 32k miles). I had the money in my bank account within that first hour of starting the process. They sent a transporter out to pick it about a week later.
No problem! You basically have to sell to these dedicated EV buyers that know what they're doing and buying. I sold my Model 3 to EV Auto for $4k above Carvana and Carmax. Plug was good too, but went with EV Auto.I reached out to Plug Motors. Haven't gone through the whole process yet, but initial quote was really good. Thanks @Jeremy3292 for the recommendation. Glad its not delayed too much.I have a new pickup date! However, less than 24 hours later, they delayed it due to shipping. The wiring harness was supposed to deliver Friday Aug 14. It was shipped, but their system shows "delayed" until Aug 19. Guess the "please expedite" request was missed and it was shipped ground.
At least the SC is communicating again and they didn't cancel my pickup two hours before delivery.
Oh the irony. But then i started thinking and this would be the 7th vehicle i've owned that is grey/silver/white, including my current grey lightning.

what happened to color?!
VIN 7079 assigned today and on its way to the Lake Forest, CA service center, according to Rivian. Delivery estimate is currently the first week of September.VIN?
ok, fair, but I will say other than the last 2, the others were all used purchases and being able to be choosy about color when used car shopping isn't always feasible.Oh the irony.
YOU happened to color.
