Paint is super subjective obviously, so take this as just my opinion.

I really wanted to like Forest Green since the very beginning, but I've struggled with it for a few reasons:
  • It's super shiny and reflective, maybe more than any other color. The shiny mirror / polished finish gives me the feeling of more luxury vs. an adventure off-road vehicle I want to get dirty.
  • Speaking of getting dirty, FG seems to show dirt and pollen way more than other colors.

These two pictures actually made me hesitant on FG when I saw them first. Vehicles in my area get a "pollen coat" pretty easily in the spring after a few hours outside. I'd imagine the lighter colors would be a bit better with this but I also haven't seen many "dirty" color pictures. We should set that up in the forums...

I go back and forth between GW and FG, mostly due to just how variable the green seems to come through in pictures, possibly due to HDR or display calibration. The white seems to always look pretty sleek but the FG is all over the place. Half the pictures (in strong sun) show a beautiful emerald with enough flake to make the truck look super luxe. The other half (less sun) look pale, plain, and kind of half-baked. Really dying for a chance to see these in real life, but if I don't get a chance to do so before delivery, pretty much have to go GW.

On an unrelated note, I kick myself daily for not snatching up a Verde Visconti Alfa (As Seen Here) during the two years they were available. Best green ever.
The color IRL is kinda plain when it's not in the sun...pretty dark. But boy does it pop in the sun.

I'll also raise your Alfa with an Evora GT in Vivid Green...not mine, but I wish it was in my garage. Lotus really needs to offer this color on the Emira.

Are any other FG people doing FE interior? I'll be interested to hear when the first one gets delivered and how it looks together.
I've been down for FG/FE since I put in my preorder, but with Max Pack, I'll be one of the last to see my truck. I haven't seen FE in person yet...hoping that changes soon with the recent announcement.

Whatever that stuff is.. probably only White, Yellow or Silver wouldn't show it.

Yellow and white have their own issues, but are especially prone to showing rock chips that go down to the "primer" which is either black or grey. I sold my white 2012 Plug-In-Prius after driving it for just 2yrs/26K miles. I had to have the nose and hood sanded/repainted before selling because it looked so bad due to rock chip damage.

Silver has the unique ability to hide dirt like the type shown above and also minimize rock chip imperfections because it's fairly close to the "primer" color. I drove a silver 2003 CRV for 9yrs and only washed it a handful of times. The paint on it (11 yrs old at the time) looked better than the 2yr old Prius in 2014.

If you want minimum maintenance (washing/waxing) and paint that will hide road damage.. go with silver.

I currently have mine spec'ed to FG/FE, however, in two days from now, that could change. I REALLY like that wood finish of the FE interior. I fear too much green, but lots of folks said the FE interior looks more gray than green, so I dunno, I'll take a shot I guess

My eternal struggle. Originally configured for the top FG/BM. Currently 1 month in to switching to MB/FE and having FG withdrawals every time I see this thread updated.

I agree with this. I saw one on a cloudy Seattle day and it appeared almost black. It really needs sun for the metallic flakes to show up.

+1 on this. I think part of the challenge is the super-glossy clear coat on trucks that are new and are kept relatively clean (service vehicles, test drive vehicles etc). I noticed this even on Launch Green - a highly reflective surface really obscures the color in low light or shady conditions and makes everything look dark or black. This is a LG test drive truck in Bellevue on a cloudy day - to my eyes it could easily be an El Cap:

IMO a nice coating of dust or pollen will reduce reflections and inadvertently let the actual green show more! As would a stealth satin wrap.

Add me to that list of folks. I saw FE in-person at the Sonoma First Mile event.

Do you think the pictures that people have posted are a decent representation of the seats/fabric compared to the configurator (which is almost Avocado green)? As a more olive/gray green I think it can complement Forest Green really well, especially with the Walnut colored wood.

I'm not worried about showing pollen - just get it ceramic coated and give it a quick hose down. Green is the distinguished gentleman's black. But still will hide stuff a teensy bit better.

That being said if that vehicle has had paint correction/coating then I'd be a bit worried.

Same. Saw it there and have no qualms about pairing FE with either green exterior. The green tint is noticeable but not overwhelming.

Wonder if we were all crawling over the same LG/FE R1T side by side without knowing it! (Sorry my kids monopolized the front for so long…)

Ill tell yall what, this FG with Black 20s is stellar...

It is! If only the damn things weren't so absurdly expensive.
