I specifically asked the Rivian person who called me and ask me to change "well if I'm H12023 for my other Max pack orders, what earlier delivery time are we talking?"

I ordered in 2018... And to push me to the back of all the other Large pack orders is insane. If they told me that I'd have said no.

I'd have said no, and kept all my orders Max Pack and sold them all when I got them.
So did you change to the large pack? What makes you think you will go to the back of all of the large packs? Did someone tell you that?

Yeah, I kept my other orders (2019) Max Pack and my earliest order Rivian changed to a large pack. I just logged into my account after the phone call and then my account had already been changed (by Rivian).

I was told by CS "you're looking good for June" the second to last time I spoke to CS, but I got no information with the last chat.

I wasn't told I'd be at the end of the line after the change, I specifically said I wouldn't change if that was the case.

But I just have no clue what's up.

Good luck. I think you will be contacted by a guide any day now. It looks like they are getting quite a few built.

Again up until April 8th I could've cared less, but then I got an email from Jaguar Land Rover saying they were gonna buy my car back. They had been trying to fix it for over a year and essentially took it to another state and just mailed me my things back and told me they'd send me a check. They also told me I had to immediately turn in my loaner or else I'd be charged for it.

So now don't have a car, which this whole Rivian thing now is major issue.

I'm sorry, but just grab a beater or subscribe to a year long volvo. There are alot of options. If you have been on this forum you know Rivians word is about as reliable as a Jaguar/land rover. Both are awful!
Good news is financially you got this ;)

I preordered July 2020 with a max pack and got the letter stating first half of 23. I changed to the large pack. I asked CS about this a couple of times if this would change me to 2022 and didn't get a straight answer.

I got an email from my guide today and was told I should have the truck by the end of June at the latest.
Sorry if I missed it, but exactly when did you change from max to large pack? It sounds like you did it as soon as the max pack was officially pushed to 2023, but I didn't want to assume that. Despite them claiming that ONLY 18 and 19 preorder holders would have the option of getting a truck in 2022 if they changed to a large pack, it is now obvious that more than one with later preorder dates got 2022 delivery windows and even some like yourself are already getting guide contacts. Very happy for you. I just think for the rest of us that never changed, we missed the boat and changing now won't move us from 2023 to 2022. But then again, the monkeys are throwing stuff at maps of the U.S. at Rivian headquarters. Wherever it sticks, they then spin the WOF to randomly pick someone with a configuration in the ballpark of what they have regardless of order date.

I can't Volvo subscription/lease cause I drive so much (3k+ miles a month). Not gonna buy a junker just to sell it, because buying a used car now is ridiculous. Just wasting money both ways there.

I borrowed a car from family now. Hope it's not for long ?

Yes. Cannot be any doubt that delivery window will change switching from max to large.

If you have a lousy location and very recent pre order then your window my not change that much.

Rivian has made it crystal clear that great location/ideal config/early pre order will get you a vehicle sooner than later. So the lucky 13-14k R1 deliveries estimated by Rivian for 2022 will get their vehicle provided there are enough parts. Everyone else slips into 2023 and continues to be subject to parts supply.

No parts = No R1s Everything else is noise!

Well I just pulled the trigger and switched to a large pack today. Will post any updates if I get a new delivery window.

I’m a Sept 2019 preorder that switched from max to large when the delay was announced. Had my guide call today. Told me 6-8 weeks until delivery.
