Someone on reddit claims they placed an order for an R1T 3 weeks ago and had a call with their guide today. If this is true, all I have to say is wtf Rivian.

Someone on reddit claims they placed an order for an R1T 3 weeks ago and had a call with their guide today. If this is true, all I have to say is wtf Rivian.
I'm seriously wondering how many trolls are mixed in with a few legit deliveries.

I'm really hoping that person was just trolling. That's a pretty vanilla build he has, of which I'm sure there are already hundreds of others. For a new order to get that call already, I can't even...

I just placed another order for the heck of it. I doubt I get it early, but I hopefully I can switch it to the R2 in a couple years.

I just placed another order for the heck of it. I doubt I get it early, but I hopefully I can switch it to the R2 in a couple years.
That's actually brings up a technicality that the troll could be using. Placed a "new" order 3 weeks ago, but got a guide contact for a much older order.

I know for one, when I start posting my delivery pics, I'm telling y'all that I ordered last week.
I ordered in 2007 and still haven't gotten my truck yet!

My guess would be your lack of proximity to a SC is what's holding your order back. Suggestion? If you have a friend who lives in the PHX area, change your address to theirs.

As to my specific situation, he did not know why I was moved up so early but suspects it’s a combination of the above factors.
I also learned that adding the wall charger will not affect delivery estimates, if anyone decides they wanted to add it. It just may come after vehicle delivery."

A delivery is a delivery is a delivery...

But yeah, ship a vehicle to service centre A, customer either takes too long to respond or declines. Rivian either ships it to service centre B at an additional cost, or delivers to a customer ready to accept, and also at current pricing. No brainer.

From a reservation holder perspective, they should have swapped the battery to a Max Pack and delivered it to my house in Canada. That would have been the right choice ;)

I don't disagree, but what I struggle to comprehend is why they couldn't offer it to any other customer on the list before a dude who pre-ordered 3 weeks ago. Surely there was someone else in the Cleveland area who ordered in 2019/20/21 who would've accepted ... ?
