Argh. Waiting on my guide to get back to me. Had to go into work today and there was a rivian parked in the lot. Some lucky coworker has a FG rivian. Made me sad, I was hoping to be the first.

Right there with you. Over 3 weeks since PBA and no real updates. I’ve become way more impatient after getting assigned a guide and signing the PBA! Haha

Based on early deliveries it seemed like once you signed the PBA you took delivery in 1-2 weeks. I think I'm more frustrated than impatient. I would like an accurate answer. All this well maybe, soon, you are getting closer, your next annoys me. Especially when it leads to nothing. Just say I don't know but I will find out and then give me a more accurate answer (4 weeks, 1 month).
This is definitely growing pains. I just hope they fix this process for the next customer.

Guess I am one of the lucky ones (knock on wood). Gave up on the 20" Darks after guide contacted me about changing those out to get quicker delvery. She said it may be over a month before she sees those available again for some reason (batching?). Texted her back and said I'd be happy with the regular 20" ATs. I went to twraps.com and ordered some black carbon fiber vinyl wrap covers for the silver spokes. Figured I'd give those a try and if I don't like them then just go powdercoat route. Regradless, she matched me with truck in 10 minutes. 8 Step process took about a day. Just got text that truck passed all inspections today. I'm actually going to be in NYC Friday so taking delivery in Brooklyn at 9:30 and then heading home to Indy area! Fingers crossed.

Man good for you. I expressed to my guide twice that I would be interested in a few configurations. Never heard back. Post a pic of the rims with the black carbon fiber vinyl wrap once you install it.

My truck was delivered yesterday. They showed up on time and overall it was a great experience. The truck does not have the latest software update and is still running 2022.11.02. Hopefully it will update s00n.

Jack the Delivery Specialist drove the truck up from SLC service center, so it had about 65 miles on it when I got it. No big deal for me - I was glad to have someone else put the first few on.

A few minor issues. Ihad the no sound from the speakers problem that others have reported. Jack said it was working fine on the drive up, but after we went through the process to set the truck up for me, no sound would come through the speakers. Jack seemed perplexed by it, and walked me through a screen reboot which did not fix it. He then walked me thru opening a service ticket via the mobile app. I told him it was a known issue that the Forums likely already had a solution discovered for. After he left, I attempted the solution that had worked for others here of letting the truck sleep for 30 minutes. That didn’t work either. But later I let it sleep for a couple of hours and then it magically starting working. Hopefully 2022.15.0 will correct this.

Spare tire was installed and my home charger arrived via UPS as Jack was walking me through stuff. Very timely! ? Crossbars and all weather mats should arrive in 2-3 weeks according to my guide. They did a due bill on the wristband key which will ship sometime in the future.

Fit and finish seemed good with exception of some trim seals not installed correctly where the front passenger door and hood meet the right front fender. See pic below. I’ve opened a service ticket on that.

I did a quick test drive with Jack and then drove it to dinner last night, but haven’t put many miles on it yet. I’ll report back if I run into any other issues.

I rarely check my voicemail because it’s 99% spam. I had one from May 12th from “Unknown.” Sure enough it was my Rivian Guide. I never recieved an email, but called her back immediately. I confirmed my configuration and gave her options I would consider changing. I am now on the list to get the next match to my config.

I confirmed my configuration and gave her options I would consider changing. I am now on the list to get the next match to my config.

I'm sure I don't need to worry about this since I have the "mythical" R1S on order.....

Nope. I checked the ? every day for the last month, also the source code which always shows up as “CONFIGURED.”

After today’s call, I now have a Guide when I click the ?

Wow good catch. I know you've been super eager to get a guide this month, can't believe they didn't email you. Hope you get a VIN and 8-step this week.

Just got everything else unlocked. Trade-in quote came out to be the same as Driveaway, basically break even on my Defender (which I expected since I foolishly opted for some extra costs when I bought it that hold no value). Just waiting on getting a delivery/pick-up date so I can start the insurance for that day!

Edit: Just spoke to my guide. Last known for my truck is still in transit in Iowa. Sadly this is a holiday weekend so guide tells me most likely next weekend before I can pick up from the SC. I'm excited but disappointed... mostly because I won't get any sleep from now until then ?
