I’m actually looking forward to using the Frunk in my R1S and Lucid Air when they arrive! The Frunk in my Tesla Model S is pretty much useless.

Nice, Thanks! This is a significantly better indication of capacity than the iJustine R1S youtube video posted here a couple days ago....

But can it handle one Standard Costco Run (SCR)? As it stands my daily driver can handle about 1.5 SCR so I'll need the Rivian to handle at least one SCR between the Frunk and Gear Tunnel.

To fit my scr, the bed will have to come into play

I feel like I tend to fill grocery bags more than that. If the bags had been filled to the top instead of folded over and taped would the lid be able to close?
I think they would have been fine standing upright. I’ll try that out… (whenever I order groceries for curbside pickup they fold/tape)

Yes. We have reusable bags filled full and have yet to have an issue closing the hood.

I also use the gear tunnel for holding non food shopping bags and my backpack for more commute more than I'd have guessed. It's pretty convenient.

This is a Whole Foods pickup. These WF bags may be a bit taller so they all can be folded and taped.

dunno About you but I use Folding crates for Costco run, and otherwise fit things into nooks & crannies. There is no such thing as a “standard Costco run“, apart from the fact that it is impossible to get out under $200

Yup. The folding crates are great. I keep a couple in each car. Saves me the hassle of trying to break down a banana box to fit into the recycling bin!

I define a SCR as 73% more than I went there to get.

Example, yesterday went to Costco to get yogurt pouches, exercise shirts, and Mac and cheese. Spent $195 and had a full trunk on my way home, so it was a pretty light trip tbh.
