My vehicle went in for secondary attempt at alignment/steering wheel centering. After that I finally got a straight track and wheel. However, it started to make clicking/clunking/creaking sound in the front driver’s side at low speed. It feels like brake or suspension component. It only happens at low speed around 10mph to 0 mph when you are making a stop with regen 1 pedal. The best way to describe the sound is like a car with tie rod or ball joint failure. Or wood floor creaking. I feel like there also has been "more" drive train clunking even when I'm driving smooth like Out of Spec mentioned in their earlier review.

Not sure if tech forgot to torque something down during the alignment? Submitted the request but they've been "gathering all the datapoints/comparing datapoints with other vehicles" and not taking my vehicle in. Anyone else having this? In the video, the sound can be best heard at last 2 seconds when the vehicle is going from 2mph - 0 mph when you turn up the volume.

Since it was aligned, I would check fasteners on panels underneath. Make sure they are present and tight enough.

I feel like it's not plastic panel loose/rubbing, and also I cant reproduce when I myself is stepping on the brake(harder than regen). It sounds like metal(control arm, bushings etc), also kinda like new car brakes sound too, except I never had the sound before

Im having this same issue. It just started. I was reading through forums and apparently others have had it as well. It appears it is inadequate lubrication on the half shafts. Easy fix for Svc center (they just clean and add more lithium grease I would imagine.) I’m hoping they fix it soon. Doesn’t effect driving at all. I was speeding across a bridge and drifted/screeched the tires on the curve to impress some friends. Hope that didn’t do it because I barely ripped it there.

Can you please refer me to those threads mentioning about the same issue as well?

Mine happened after alignment. Tho I wonder if it's half shaft, why it's only under low speed, towards braking to stationary when the front kinda dives down. Also if you have videos that would be helpful and we can push Rivian to fix soon as it is not just a 1 person problem

Hi - I’ve been having the same clicking sounds under the front drivers side wheel. I requested service on 9-2 and tech said he wants to convey scenario to service and get feedback ahead of scheduling a fix. Now I’m noticing more frequency of the clicking and it’s rather easy to reproduce from both gentle starts and stops.

Can you please keep us posted? My tech torqued everything said “behaves correctly”

I drove the truck 9,000 miles before this cropped up a couple weeks. back. The truck just got serviced - they said they lubricated the half-shafts. I get the it back on Friday so we'll see if it persists.

Did lubricant help? Last time I mentioned lubricating half shafts in the front to them as that helped some other forum members. But they said I don’t need it last time based on the symptoms.

Bumping this! I recently had my subframe replaced and an alignment and am having this exact noise. Taking it in tomorrow. Do you know what the fix was?
