My wife (Jan) and lab (Zefram) and I got away for a short trip to the NC mountains. We stuffed the R1T full of camping gear (tent, screen room, camp kitchen, etc.) and headed out from our home at Emerald Isle to a Blue Ridge Parkway campground near Blowing Rock. We drove a total of 732 miles, gained 4500 feet of elevation, and drove thru a lot of heavy rain on the way there (fortunately the weather was improving when we got to camp). Averaged 2.75 m/kWh for the trip, which pleased me given the wet roads and elevation change. We charged at Electrify America stations there and back, and charged twice at a 62.5 kW ChargePoint station at Blue Ridge Energy in Boone (the local electric company in that area). The Blue Ridge Energy folks were excited to see a Rivian using their charger, and they knew about Rivian as they’ve been working to hook up a DC fast station in Blowing Rock.
