VIN assigned - What’s everyone’s average delivery time from there?

My guess....and I hope I am wrong, as my original truck had a low vin too...is that while others were receiving in the 3000 range, vehicles with older vins needed some rework before delivery.

I was originally given 3063. Canceled because it was recalled and my new vin is 45xx. The back door on the website. Says readyforfullfilment as of last night when the portal opened with no email to resign paperwork and update my payment.

I got matched to a truck on Thursday last week. PBA signed same day. 8 Steps opened up today and got my VIN. Quoted 2-3 weeks until delivery. And that's assuming it passes QC when it gets to my local service center. Could be held up if there are any issues.

I appreciate the advice - I'm selling my truck to my younger brother (at a significant discount, despite how angry my wife is about that haha). I'd probably would have saved around 2-3k on the tax incentive alone with a trade in. But I'm in a position to help out family.

In my experience, my vehicle was *scheduled* for delivery within a week. Due to scheduling issues, I am scheduled to visit the SC in ATL on Tuesday to take physical possession of my truck. Fingers crossed that all will go well.

Thanks. I am in the Atlanta area and received my van on August 2. Completed the first seven steps yesterday. Just trying to determine how much longer until step eight opens up so I can schedule.

6/11/22 - Rivian Update: Your Adventure package R1T estimated delivery window is December 2022 - January 2023.

8/24/22 - Received Email: Your configuration is ready to confirm.

8/25/22 - Call with Rivian Guide to update address. Confirmed Order
-He said 10 weeks max. Could be much shorter

8/25/22 - VIN Received. 109XX

8/25/22 - Rivian Guide: it’s in Normal, IL at the factory. Likely getting finishing touches. Typically 4-8 weeks to ship and get to me

I’ll update this as more steps happen. I’m 4/8 steps through the portal. Waiting on final payment, financing finalization and Insurance until a delivery date is confirmed. (As recommended by Rivian Guide)

Could be your config was built and didn’t have a ton of matches, or it could be your YouTube bonafides.

- ETA on order updated (as of the Spring of this year) to Dec/Jan.
- Access to R1T shop on Aug 17
- Access to R1T shop shut down on Aug 24th
- VIN and Guide showed on my account Aug 24th
- 8 Step's with Order confirm on 24th/25th.
- Guide said truck was in transit from Normal to Denver as of 25th, and should expect delivery date to be set via local Denver team within 2 weeks from today.
- Assuming certain factors at this point will dictate actually delivery (date Denver SC receives vehicle, date of inspection + passing inspection, available delivery dates).

From what I've been reading, many folks are getting their trucks delivered within 1-3 weeks from the time the VIN is given out.

Great to know. Thank you! I'm used to the Tesla process, where once you receive a VIN, they basically want to give it to you instantly, so this is pretty interesting.

I'm curious to hear when you end up getting yours. I confirmed my config just a few days after you (Aug 28th) and my guide said 4-8 weeks. Given I'm just a bit south of LA (Orange County - a few miles from the local SC), I'm guessing your experience will be a good indicator for me. Maybe our trucks will be on the same train...

I got a VIN assigned about 1-2 weeks ago and was set to take delivery Saturday but was informed today they need to hold it for some kind of paint re-work, a bit concerning I hope they can actually show me what it was.
