Since those doors are in the water zone, I am guessing there would not be much air flow in there to be used for this purpose. :( It was a good idea though. :)
Just jokes..

Extreme Adventure Chernobyl Green
Chernobyl Green is a fantastic name for a color. Auto manufacturers should be more playful with their color names.

I agree, but I'm afraid that fun names are not PC enough for the world we now live in.

Cool shots, but makes me a little nervous how they try to fit (or not fit) those skis in the bed . . .
Yeah, but with people in the bed I understand the impulse to not try and put them in flat, idk. I, too, and curious how hauling my skis will be in this rig. Not something that will make or break my decision though.

Roof racks look well integrated. Hope they don't cost over $1,000

Based on the gouging for black wheels, blue paint, camp kitchen, etc., I will go out on a limb and guarantee these will cost well above what you think a reasonable price would be.
Kind of like Ducati Performance accessories for your Sport Classic :)

Rivian will be a "Lifestyle" brand and priced accordingly

Agreed, this is normal for any premium brand I've owned. In fact, I would say Rivian's accessory pricing is better than others I've run into over the years.

Although I've never had a camp kitchen option before to compare it to...

I don’t like having my skis exposed to road salt, so I’ve always either carried them inside of an SUV or enclosed rooftop carrier. For my R1T, my plan is to mount the enclosed rooftop carrier to crossbars over the bed if they won’t fit diagonally in the bed with tonneau cover closed. The published bed dimensions are 1400cm (l) x 1385cm (w). That would put the diagonal at 196cm. So I’m somewhat optimistic that anything up to about 185cm will fit.

Wouldn’t even long skis fit in the gear tunnel? ?

Nope. Gear tunnel is 65.5” long. My 195s would be too long by nearly a foot if laid flat. Even if you tried to angle them in, they’d be too long.

Shorter people with shorter skis might be able to fit some in, but most people won’t.
