I've owned 5 or 6? vehicles with glass screens, and never thought to put a screen protector on them. Why? Does it eliminate fingerprints?

Yes, and the glare from the shiny screens (especially when dirty/dusty).

I've always been happy with the Spigen products that I've had for phones etc. I'll update this weekend when I install the one that I ordered.

Yes, and the glare from the shiny screens (especially when dirty/dusty).

I probably have overly oily/sweaty hands and my screen becomes almost unreadable in direct or even bright indirect light after a few days of use. I keep a shammy in the car to wipe it down but I'd rather have something to reduce prints than have to clean it every day or two.

Constant touching and wiping of glass screens runs a high probability of scratching the glass. It’s much easier to replace a $30 protector than the panel.
