Non-Rivian rooftop tents

We have used our FSR tent a few nights now. We are happy with it. It is quick to setup and take down, no noticable aero penalty, plenty of room for two, and pretty comfy. It is very dark- we were in a campground with a trailer setting up and the headlights were blasting it for like a half hour, you couldn’t even tell with the windows closed. It did pretty well in some mild winds.
Used down to the mid 20s and we were warm, but also in warm sleeping bags. Haven’t tested if the quilted walls actually provide much insulation.

do you think there is room in this setup for an extended camp kitchen? …or would you have to rotate the tent to driver side ladder entry? Nice setup!

It should be fine. It looks like you have plenty of room to get at the drawers and keep the heat side away from the tent.

looks nice! How does it mount to the crossbars? Using the T-slots? Or brackets similar to Yakima?

Anyone see that the china market now started making copies of the Ikamper? we knew it was gonna happen just wondering if they might be any good at this price its lower than the Yakima soft top from Rivian.

Ah bummer, this is about what I’m seeing for all these roof top tents with our wide crossbars.

i really like Yakimas brackets but they are near impossible to find.

The latest IKamper brackets (3.0) work out of the box.

Oh nice. Those don’t dig into the crossbar when tightened? I’m surprised there is no buffer/rubber bushing to protect the crossbar
