As an aside, many Rivian running gear parts including beefy control arms and wheelsets are made in PRC.

If it says Cat Diesel on it, good enuf for me. Thanks JJ, hitting buy now.

Also, how does one get the truck onto jack stands when the pucks are the preferred access point and are occupied by the jack itself?
That is the tricky part. They make specialized jack stands that have a portion that is lifted by the jack and holds the puck. That is what mobile service uses, and is made by the company from the link below. They don't currently list the Rivian part, but I would have to assume they will shortly. Either that or you can order the flat version and use the 1EV pucks with it.

Not trying to hijaak OP's thread with a dumb question, but do the Rivian's not come with a jack and pucks/whatever?

Is it different if you do or don't get the spare tire with your config?

Nice looking jack, btw. I'd be a bit concerned about giving up half my gear tunnel storage for a jack, but it looks good in there. In my current pickup, my 2.5 ton Craftsman jack fits in a plastic case inside the toolbox in the bed. Guess I'll be needing to figure out some kind of solution for Rivian since they're not really designed for bed-mounted toolboxes...

Yes with the spare you get a scissor jack and a plastic puck. Not exactly confidence inspiring setup in most situations.

For what it’s worth in the gear tunnel, even with the jack in there I still have room for a dewalt toolbox, air compressor, off road recovery kit, and a chainsaw

The Rivian version can be purchased here: https://rivianservicetools.com/Catalog/Product/TSN00597-300-A?groupId=111

Spoiler alert: It is not inexpensive.

I do prefer bottle jacks for off-road, that said have you tried one with a puck, I can't quite picture that interface.
Both those vehicles are too low for a bottle jack, but if Rivian uses a scissors jack... there should be a way to use a bottle jack (somewhere) on the R1T. Maybe where the puck sits but without the puck?

I actually use this for the Tesla and i3.. and it works great:

Rivian R1T R1S CAT Off-Road Jack for my R1T (fit in gear tunnel & tested) 1664922989877

I was leaning towards this once my truck arrives.

Changing a flat off-road would be a snap with the Rivian built in air compressor and the Rivigear aftermarket pucks.

Sounds like a scene from Blood Simple or No Country For Old Men.
