You obviously completely miss the point. No, 5 seat and max pack R1S are gone. The rest simply fall under "accessories sold separately."
I was wondering about this too. Maybe they are allowing us to use more of the battery? With 21s the full charge on Conserve is 326, and 301 on all-purpose, so neither matches what they are advertising here (or the previous 314, which I think was said to be a combination of the two).Does the new range estimate figure it in conserve mode or standard? My max range has been showing 326 for the last week or so in conserve mode. Just curious if that number will go up.
GVWR won't change. Payload would change, but that doesn't have to be changed for anything that isn't factory installed or always on the vehicle (racks, mounts, etc.). They did change it when they installed my spare though.I wonder how they intend on dealing with GVWR stickers adding options later.
You have a reservation, not an order. You obviously completely miss the point.
If I order a latte - I don't expect them to suddenly take the milk out of my order and tell me go find it somewhere else. Stop changing my order. Deliver what has been requested..... Pretty simple.
You have a reservation, not an order.
If you go to a restaurant and have a table reserved, even if it's a specific one, it's not uncommon for the restaurant to offer you a different table that may or may not be exactly comparable for some reason. You didn't order the table, you reserved it, and the reservation comes with caveats.
Read the pre-order agreement![]()
No but you did put $1000 down for the future privilege of ordering a Rivian. This is also part of the reason that Rivian no longer allows people to configure at the time of reservation, they seem to think it means something different than what Rivian calls out in the pre-order agreement.I'm glad you support their crappy tactics. I don't put $1000 down on a table.
Lets not forget these also:And for all of those that thinking I'm just being a grouch about it - let's look at all of the stuff they have taken away since my order. Yes, I realize I can get some of these back, that's not the point because I can buy them 3rd party too.SOMEyou simply can't.
5 seater- GONE....
Max Pack- GONE.....
Floor Mats - GONE....
Cargo bars - GONE....
Field Kit - GONE...
Recovery Kit - GONE....
My Confidence in Rivian - GOING, GOING, GONE.....
Keep this up Rivian and
My order - GONE....
Have some perspective... They just announced a small but notable range bump (good news). The 5- seater and max pack have been known for quite a while now. The base Chilliwich floor mats are great but the rubber ones are average anyway. The recovery kit and field kit can be purchased separately 3rd party for around the same price anyway. there is a great community of Rivian owners in the PNW and if you ask nicely I'll bet you can borrow somebodies crossbars when they are not using them. I can tell you this, all things considered I would still rather drive my R1T than a subie crosstrek or Jeep GC... my point is waiting sucks but once you take delivery all this will be forgotten... cheer up.I'm glad you support their crappy tactics. I don't put $1000 down on a table.
But you apparently do so without reading agreements outlining exactly what you're putting 1000 "down" for. You're not earning any sympathy here. Less entitlement in your life might be a good thingI'm glad you support their crappy tactics. I don't put $1000 down on a table.
Seems like a good plan, but wondering how you’ll jack the vehicle to swap wheels? Not gonna let Rivian ruin my day again...
Ordered a Dodge 2363 20" wheel off ebay for $150, 77.8mmX64.1 hub centric rings for $14 from Amazon and will get the 20" AT Scorpion rubber from Tire Rack. That will have to do as a spare till Rivian gets their shit together "early next year" whenever that is.... not driving around without a spare.
Jacks capable of safely lifting a vehicle this heavy are being sold by companies other than Rivian. Getting a wheel which matches factory specs to use as a spare is the biggest hurdle, to me, and @NY_Rob has a solution to the problem.Seems like a good plan, but wondering how you’ll jack the vehicle to swap wheels?

I'll probably just pick up a 12 ton bottle jack locally if it's height is correct.Seems like a good plan, but wondering how you’ll jack the vehicle to swap wheels?
I’m interested in learning what’s in this portable tire changing solution. Can you share your kit?Jacks capable of safely lifting a vehicle this heavy are being sold by companies other than Rivian.
