I really really need a bed cap..... it would be a perfect vehicle for me with a cap......

I'm the only one that wants that ? or are any others out there.....

(I know there is some limitations because of the buttons and the roof deflector, but is not impossible to sort things out and make it)

If anyone knows that someone is working on it already, please let me know I want to help.

Not a need for me, more of want. But I’d definitely consider purchasing one.

My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
It’s a camper shell without the camper (eg. sleeper), yes. Just a hard shell for securely stuffing your stuff securely.

LOL I think I have a food hangover. Merry Holidays everyone.

I have had one on all of my former trucks, and feel a little naked driving without one in the R1t to be honest. Plan was to use the tonneau instead, but Rivian pulled a fast one on me and I didn’t get mine, so instead I have a bed full of tree detritus and nowhere to stash expensive large objects.

If Rivian or an aftermarket MFG doesn't come out with a cap, I will make my own. I mentioned this in a discussion about the tonneau cover, but I didn't see anyone comment. I think tonneau covers are silly. A cap is far more practical and useful.

While I'm on a rant: I'll also come up with a way to block and/or protect the glass roof. The glass roof with no way to block it is silly. The heat and therefore air conditioning required to counteract it doesn't make sense. Also, otherwise I'll have to wear a hat while driving. Maybe I'll put a solar panel on the outside.

Or you could just get this for $55? I have one sitting in my mailbox ready to install this week. I'll let you know how it goes.

Highly interested in a cap here- I’ve been looking around for options but haven’t heard of anything yet. Anyone else?

I was thinking exactly the same, make my own..... But do you know how much work you need to put on that ? Let's push the manufacturers to create one for us....

This is a render, made long time ago, the bed and the roof are not the actual bed and roof we have today .... but anything similar to this will fit my needs perfectly. More cargo, more secure and also it will expand the roof racks area to almost 14' long in length.

I’ve been hoping for one and put it on my guide’s radar 6 months ago. They said it was a good idea, but still nothing available from Rivian or other companies who make them that I have found.

Just thinking out loud, for me at least, if I wanted a camper shell, I likely would have just purchased the SUV instead. Yes, you give up the gear tunnel and some length, but in return, you get the added benefit of finished interior space. You would lose the ability to take the shell off the truck, but how often will people do that.

As I write this now, thinking more on it, would be cool if Rivian were able to make the rear glass over the back portion of the SUV removable. The Hummer has removable roof panels. Then, if you needed to move something quite tall, you could potentially do so with the SUV.

I personally don't really have a need for a "truck", but prefer the look of the truck, which is why I chose it over the SUV. But there is added appeal and more interior cubic space with the SUV. If I wanted the closed off look, the SUV would have been the choice.

A.R.E just confirmed that they don't plan to make one for RIVIAN.

RSI Smart Cap is discussing if they should incorporate more brands like (nissan, honda and rivian)

Leer still no reply.

Is not a camper cap, is a truck cap. Is intended to have people separate from cargo, but the cargo is covered.... I can fit half a dozen of pigs, have them secure (avoiding them to jump from the bed) and not smelling them the whole trip. Same for chemicals , construction materials, or my beautiful mountain bikes.
