I grew up driving Jeeps and riding motorcycles, so it’s normal and moderately adorable seeing people wave at me. I always wave back.

Does remind me a bit of the way Harley riders would deliberately not wave any anyone that wasn’t a Harley, though. Once some asshat ran up on me and flashed a gun because I dared pass a group of them on the interstate (I-80, 4 lanes …) while I dropped a wave on the way past.

The immature part of me loves driving by the local Tesla Supercharger so they can see what they are missing out on. I'm sure most of them are like, buddy, you are in the wrong place, the crappy EA charger is down the street.

It's all love though. I've driven my Tesla Model 3 for the last 4 years, and still love it. My wife has a new Model Y, which is also a great family car.

It's so funny how the majority of cruiser types won't wave at sport/naked riders. More fun when a cruiser rider decides to bomb a canyon with you and give a big ole wave when they've had enough and pull off.

This actually happened to me a few days ago! Except I was the guy in the Tesla that honked and waved at a black R1T that passed slowly on a two lane road. There were a couple slow cars in front of him and he looked slightly annoyed so I didn’t get a wave back haha. I’m seeing more and more R1Ts (no R1Ss yet unfortunately) around here and that makes me happy!

It’s not asking someone to become your bff or anything. It’s just acknowledging and appreciating a mutual interest in something unique! I’ll keep waving at you guys even if you don’t wave back!

If you’re on a motorized vehicle with two wheels, I’d always wave. Those on 2 wheels are risking their life on every ride.

What’s funny is I’d wave at somebody on their 50cc scooter and they’d look at me and wonder what’s up.

In the long ago when I had an Indian Vespa knock off id wave at the Harleys and they would look so pissed.

What’s funny for me is that I bought a Harley Pan America last year. I wave at other Harleys and they look pissed and I DRIVE a Harley.

Ha. I was thinking of them coal rolling coming toward me, not passing. I don’t think any of those coal rolling trucks can beat a Rivian off the line even in conserve mode (which I haven’t even tried yet)

I ride a triumph bonneville and feel like everyone waves at me - weird how cliquey the motorcycle world can be tho. Or maybe it's to be expected.
