remember guys, just because you see usb-c doesn't mean you'll have high charge capability. usb-c is a connector designation, not a capability designation. typically you'll see 7.5 or 15 watts as a min capability. Anything above is either a manufacturer capability designation (samsung fast charge, one+ fast charge, etc.) or PD capability which then go all the way up to 100W, soon to be 240W.

Anybody tested the output of the 12v plugs? Could always use the cigarette lighter type plugs if they put out more power. Plenty of adapters available to plug into the 12V with a female USB-C plug on the other side.

I'd love to see 100W USB-C ports. But even 15W is higher than I expected to see. It's crazy how many vehicles still only give you 5W!
My XPS uses a 130W adapter, I was hoping at least one would be 100W. Even @60W my laptop will slow charge and run, below that, and it needs to be off to get any juice. but that's what the power outlet is for I suppose.

I had asked Rivian ages ago what the output of the USB-C outlets were and got "1500W" they didn't understand the question so I gave up, but imagine...1500W USB-C.
Plugs in laptop, laptop immediately explodes.

I understand that the 12V socket under the dash for R1S has been eliminated, so I will need to use the USB-C port to power a radar detector. Does anyone know if the USB-C port on the R1S is QC/PD compatible? Thanks.
