KO2's are great tires for off road/dirt roads etc. and robust on streets (curbs, drive thru's) so good choice there. The truck looks fantastic. Well done.

Goes to show where pricing might end up once Method / Black Rhino make a wheel for the Rivian.

Anyone know the weight difference between the KO2s and the 275 Pirellis?

@dp351 are you running hubcentric rings as well? Nice to see more of us jumping on the DIY budget setups and I have considered these same wheels to replace my 21" roads for a street setup since I am running the other Dodge 2363 wheels as my AT setup. Looks great!!!

Looks great. I ran those tires on my Jeep and loved them. A few questions:

* Are they load rated for the 7,000lb Rivian?
* Were there other wheel offset options that would have eliminated the rub?
* Are you swapping them yourself at home when you go between these and the 22’s?
* How are you dealing with Rivian config that has your range and speedo calculated for 22’s?

Love the wheels! Are you using hub rings? Are they ok for the weight of the vehicle?

Yes and yes. Check the wheel specs at the link I posted previously. I forget the specifics.

* Are they load rated for the 7,000lb Rivian? Yes. I forget the numbers, but the wheels and tires are rated high enough.

* Were there other wheel offset options that would have eliminated the rub? Not anywhere near this price that I’m aware of. There are a few very expensive options, including the OEM 20’s. But at a reasonable price, I could not find a wheel with more positive offset than these.

* Are you swapping them yourself at home when you go between these and the 22’s? Yes, and I’m leaving the jack point covers off, so I can not only use a normal floor jack without pucks, but I can also use jack stands. But thus far, I’m not feeling like I’ll ever switch back to the 22’s, because I love being able to drive over curbs and whatever else without worrying about rim damage, and I like the ride better with the taller sidewalls.

* How are you dealing with Rivian config that has your range and speedo calculated for 22’s? I’m not. I’ve read about others being denied when asking Rivian to change their wheel configuration to 20’s when they installed aftermarket 20’s, so I’m not going to bother.
My tires are 1/2” taller than the OEM 22’s and 1/2” shorter than the OEM 20’s. I checked my spedo with a GPS device and it’s reading 2mph fast at 80mph. Oddly, it also seems to be about 2mph fast at 30mph. This makes me think that the spedo is not mechanical, but instead uses GPS (which others have said) and adds 2mph. If this is true, then the spedo doesn’t need to be recalibrated for different tire sizes. Either way, I’m fine with my spedo reading 2mph high.
Re. range estimates, I’m not concerned with this or if it requires recalibration. From other EV’s I’ve owned, I’ve noticed that the car is constantly recalculating and adjusting the range estimate based on the current rate of energy use (sometimes referred to as the Guess O Meter, GOM).
If there’s something else in Rivian’s reconfiguration, I’d love to know what it is. If it’s just the graphics on the screen, I’m not worried about it.

I have the OEM 20s, but would rather get some cheap aftermarket wheels for real off-roading. I use the KO2 on most of my other vehicles, so your combo is an interesting one, looking forward to hearing how further use and testing goes. Mileage will take pretty good hit, bit I am guessing that’s not a concern.

i take it you needed hub-centric rings?
Yes needed, Hub Centric rings, 4pcs from Wheel Connect through Amazon with great communication and fast service. SKU# HR7780-6410A These will allow the smaller Rivian (64.1mm) hub core to remain concentric with the larger RAM (77.8mm) wheel center bore.
