I'm a new owner of an R1T. I knew going in that there was no SiriusXM. I didn't realize that the only input to the audio system was bluetooth. The choice for bluetooth only, is a problem for me. But let me explain why this is a problem. One of my houses in in WV. No FM radio stations. No universal cell phone coverage. AT&T cell service is spotty. Verizon's is non-existant. What does this mean? No audio for me. The hot spot in the R1T is based on Verizon cell service, so I can't get internet access that way. AT&T's is barely any better, so no reliable internet service that way. (my cell phone is AT&T) I used to have a vehicle with SiriusXM, as that worked. Rivian's attitude towards SiriusXM is...use the App on your phone. Except, if you don't have cell phone coverage, that doesn't work.

Now, I have a "portable" SiriusXM tuner that I've had for years. It has a 3.5mm analog out jack. But no analog in on the R1T. I've tried 2 different 3.5mm to Bluetooth transmitters. Neither is seen by my phone, nor the R1T.

Silence isn't golden. It's silence. Maybe I'll get on eBay and search for an old cassette player (w/built in speaker)...

My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
Download music to your phone. Connect via bluetooth. Problem solved.

Also, the hotspot in the R1 is ATT.

Next thing I'm going to try is an FM Transmitter (since the bluetooth didn't work). Just ordered one on Amazon, and will get it on Sunday.

why you can’t have music on your phone and use Bluetooth to play thru the Rivian?
Unfortunately, Music on the iphone (so far) has insisted on being ordered by Album, rather than random or as >I< would organize. Years ago I burnt CDs of my favorite tracks (it was 6 or 8 CDs). But I still like the selection I get from Sirius (though I've augmented my CD collection based on some stuff I heard on Sirius). When Apple changed from iTunes to Music, it messed things up on my computer (I was maxed out on what I could store in iTunes). Streaming is just not the way. In fact...I was moving to DVD-Audio, until that sort of withered away.

Download the music to your phone or other Bluetooth ready device.

If your grandkids can download Paw Patrol, you can download some tunes.

You can.

Sign up for a free Spotify account and download music. You can make whatever playlist you want in whatever order you want and stream it via Bluetooth to the truck.

Not an Apple guy here but I find it hard to believe that there is no way to create a playlist of downloads on your phone that you can use through BT?

Maybe you should switch to Android? ?

Al little off topic, but who pays for the cell service in the vehicle? I don't recall every sighing up for anything. eg. Tesla charged $99 for a year.

In Apple Music you can shuffle all your music, or if you want to hear it in a certain order you can simply create playlists which can also be shuffled or organized however you like.

Give it a little bit, you'll be paying here too. Expected this to be announced as one of the "Membership features" soon to be billed

Rivian had said cell service was free until the end of this year.
