I'm a new owner of an R1T. I knew going in that there was no SiriusXM. I didn't realize that the only input to the audio system was bluetooth. The choice for bluetooth only, is a problem for me. But let me explain why this is a problem. One of my houses in in WV. No FM radio stations. No universal cell phone coverage. AT&T cell service is spotty. Verizon's is non-existant. What does this mean? No audio for me. The hot spot in the R1T is based on Verizon cell service, so I can't get internet access that way. AT&T's is barely any better, so no reliable internet service that way. (my cell phone is AT&T) I used to have a vehicle with SiriusXM, as that worked. Rivian's attitude towards SiriusXM is...use the App on your phone. Except, if you don't have cell phone coverage, that doesn't work.
Now, I have a "portable" SiriusXM tuner that I've had for years. It has a 3.5mm analog out jack. But no analog in on the R1T. I've tried 2 different 3.5mm to Bluetooth transmitters. Neither is seen by my phone, nor the R1T.
Silence isn't golden. It's silence. Maybe I'll get on eBay and search for an old cassette player (w/built in speaker)...
