I agree with you, the All Terrain Option makes it very difficult to keep it under $80,000 because of things that could be purchased in the shop like the spare tire. Most of us don't need the underbody protection but at $1700 for Adventure and $2000 Launch version, makes it almost impossible to get it under the IRS limit. I am hoping they dump a bunch of S models in without the three add ons soon. My First Drive is Thursday at Atlanta SC so I will let you know what I see there and talk to the delivery manager to get a feel for what is going on.Scheduled another First Drive for May 6 at the Atlanta Service Center. My wife still hasn't sat in a Rivian of any type and that was the first weekend slot we could both do. I will definitely be asking for R1S Shop access.
Major shame about the bundling they're now doing with 20" AT, RUS, and spare. I want 2 out of the 3, but want to keep under $80k just to be safe on the tax credit, even though I have a pre-August 15 2022 BPA. I would really like my worst case tax-wise to be a $3750 credit.
