R1S Shop access live with lots of inventory!

Scheduled another First Drive for May 6 at the Atlanta Service Center. My wife still hasn't sat in a Rivian of any type and that was the first weekend slot we could both do. I will definitely be asking for R1S Shop access.

Major shame about the bundling they're now doing with 20" AT, RUS, and spare. I want 2 out of the 3, but want to keep under $80k just to be safe on the tax credit, even though I have a pre-August 15 2022 BPA. I would really like my worst case tax-wise to be a $3750 credit.

I agree with you, the All Terrain Option makes it very difficult to keep it under $80,000 because of things that could be purchased in the shop like the spare tire. Most of us don't need the underbody protection but at $1700 for Adventure and $2000 Launch version, makes it almost impossible to get it under the IRS limit. I am hoping they dump a bunch of S models in without the three add ons soon. My First Drive is Thursday at Atlanta SC so I will let you know what I see there and talk to the delivery manager to get a feel for what is going on.

I’m not particularly looking for 20” AT but it’s by far the most common option in the shop, I’m sure the bundling makes sense for them hopefully spare is available in summer as they have said .

An hour ago I picked my EXACT config from the Shop: FG BM with 22s. Well technically it wasn't my exact config because I was able to get a Launch when I originally had an Adventure reservation

I'll take that free upgrade, plus 3 month earlier delivery every day of the week.

Random question for those asked for R1S Shop access and got it: did any of you request and get access before you had a guide assigned, or is having a guide a prerequisite? I don’t have a guide yet. Hoping that won’t matter.

Quick question - what VIN range was your LE? Trying to figure out if they’re still making these or if the rest we’ll see are mostly Adventure with the occasional LE to fulfill customer orders.
