Happy with how this fits against the angled surface so I don't think it'll catch on much nor cause enough of moment arm to snap anything but that magnetic option is cool too. I was trying to decide if I wanted it up to collect dust but be out of the way or down to avoid dust but slightly more in the way. Decided on card up to keep it out of the way but will be flipping it around to the left so the logo is right side up.

Ultimately I'd like to find a way to route this into the void created when I removed the wireless charging mat but that sounds like a project. If anyone comes across photos of the back of where the USB ports are in the console please send them my way. Couldn't find anything online yet.

Nice setup! Any indications the Sticky Stuff will mess up the carpet liner material that is in the console when removed? I’m curious as it could be a good idea to put a small piece under my SD adapter to help hold It in case of a wreck. If it comes out during an incident the videos could be corrupted and not play.

I Just checked the sticky stuff stays on the drive and leaves no residue on the console.

My GoPro MicroSD adapter came in, but I has an indicator LED on it. Anyone know if these ports are powered with the truck off? Don’t want to add to vampire drain.

There is no way that single LED would even be noticeable. I'm sure the 12v batteries could run it for years on a single charge.

I can confirm (for science) this port loses power after just a couple minutes.
