Timing from R1 Shop -> Delivery?

I originally wanted a LG/FE, but was too late in the game discovering Rivian. I love the colors. Since it wasn't available any longer, I reserved (Sep '21) an Adventure R1T MB/FE maxpack with 20" dark rims. I received access to the R1T shop several weeks ago and reviewed it more than once a day. Lol. I kept holding out with the maxpack, but couldn't justify holding out for a little more added mileage @ $7k. Lo and behold, one day Launch Green started hitting in the R1T shop, but were all BM/OC interiors. I told myself the first LG/FE that hits I'm gonna lock. I don't care what kinda tires it's got on it. To my surprise, one was available Friday, 14 April and I locked it. It's got 22" brites on it. The next day, Saturday, the assigned agent called me from Norman and wanted to know if I could pick it up 28 April. So, within two weeks and I coulda picked it up. I decided to take my time doing the paperwork and getting the charger installed. Hey, I'm 65 years old. Lol. I live in the St. Louis suburbs, and have yet to see any Rivian in these parts except an R1T on a flat bed being hauled east. I pick it up 12 May and I am excited about getting my truck.

I just confirmed an exact same colored r1t from the shop. My original selection was a white on white adventure, but really wanted the wristband key, and this green (launch edition) on green with 22” is just so unique and I’m sure there ain’t gonna be many like this on the road.

Btw, for the crossbars, can I pick one up from the service center when taking delivery? Or it can only be ordered and shipped to home? Also, are they $450/pair for both the pre and the post March pricing holders?

Congrats on yours too. I probably have/had more than 20 new vehicles since high school, ranging anywhere between $30k toyota and $80k bmw, but never felt so excited as getting this r1t.

I started getting very interested in EV's around 2011 (Aptera, Elio, Chevy Volt), but the technology just wasn't there yet. The past two years has seen an explosion of interest and production (vehicles, charging networks) thanks in large part to Tesla. This will gain even more traction in the next five years and succeed. I'm so happy to help promote and be a part of this evolution. I haven't even seen the R1T just YouTube video's, pictures online and once one was on a flatbed. I know I don't have to see it to know how beautiful it is and it's performance level. From what I've seen on video, that quad motor will flat out get it. I'm happy with the large pack and quad motors. Awesome truck.

This would be my 4th EV. I did test drive the r1t at the local service center and couldn't stop smiling. It felt solid and quality built comparing to my teslas. I will probably keep my teslas as commuters, and the r1t as my choice for weekend getaway/grocery.

Took about a month for me from R1 shop to delivery and I’m here in Cali plus about 10 miles from CS.

I would definitely jump on some crossbars. $450 is definitely a good price!

Got access to the shop on 12/21/2022. Ordered an R1T from the shop on 12/23. Drove up to Richmond, VA to take delivery on 1/20 this year.

BTW, make sure you show up to your delivery appointment on time if you're showing up to a service center. I took every bit of the hour scheduled for me, and probably could have used a little more time. I may have been a little more detail oriented than some, but after reading about a lot of folks in this forum, I don't think so.

Just was given access to the R1 shop while waiting for my R!S. I have checked evert day and they say "were all out" no vehicles. This has been a week like this! Is this a normal experience? Thanks

Dang that’s quick! It must have been at the service center. I’m currently at 3 weeks and 4 days since I picked a vehicle from the shop. My guide said it was at the factory, and they must have shipped by rail

I keep asking my guide if there is an estimated arrival date for my R1S to the service center. He says, “I don’t know when it will arrive unfortunately “. Has this been others experience? Or is my guide withholding for some reason?

Yep, my guide was the same way. Very little information disclosed during the shopping process until last week when I got the email that it was ready for delivery. I actually got more information out of the Rivian insurance agent regarding specific location of the vehicle at different points of the shipping process.

But today the wait came to an end! Picked up my blue R1T in Portland, everything went smooth and even got to try out the new RAN charger in Clackamas.

I wrote a python script that parsed and logged the store appearances, checking every 2-5 minutes. Gave me a text when something new showed up. There were for sure a few dead days and some with +15-20 showing up sometimes in chunks, sometimes singles.

I sort of figured it was tax season and some people realized they could not afford, and hence the wave of cancellations we just saw.
I can’t run the script/service anymore since I converted to an order

Yeah same here.. My guide "did not have access to that information"

The insurance rep easily pulled it up and told me exactly where it was in the journey to my SC.
