Nothing instills confidence like taking a picture of your design team in a car made of two by fours.
Since you're site sponsor, I assume you're in business and should know the value of early mockups and concept explorations.

The cab concept could have been made from foamcore and be just as valid. The sole purpose is to gain physical understanding of the interior space concept.

In my days, we built many soft mockups (software) as well as foamcore mockups to gain understandings quickly for air and space crafts. I'm certain that, myself included, would not want to fly in a 2x4 built airplane, but the mockup has a huge value to the developer.

My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
Adorable! Weird! And possibly very dangerous!

Sign me up. I love this little thing.

Edit: There’s a render on slide 10 of an SUV/van-ish thing, and I think it’s great. The sun nose proportions work a lot better in that package (IMO). And it looks like the ultimate urban/suburban human transporter.

Cool idea, but a VERY niche market - subcompact truck. Not sure why so many startups are focusing on a truck right now when the market is clearly demanding SUVs. Build the SUV, prove profitability, and then scale to niche vehicles. For as much as I love my T, I think Rivian would be in better shape right now had they focused on putting out the S first.

I mean, lose the frunk and the gear tunnel and the Rivian would probably have an 8 ft bed. But even calling this thing's bed 5 ft isn't really accurate when they slope it behind the rear seats like that.

I love a small truck as much as the next guy but that pic of it over a mini was shocking. Still a cool concept.

Absolutely. 100%. Here is something that i've posted before about development of one of the parts that I make. Most of them were not good. The one in the top left was broken.

My point here was the picture, not the process. Everything that you put out for public consumption needs to serve a purpose and convey a feeling that you want people to have. You announce a product for a reason. You market that product to get customers or investors and whatnot. It's marketing.

The wooden frame picture, I'm sure is show that four, full size people can fit in the vehicle. Unfortunately, it doesn't do that. It speaks more to how far away they are from production, and the likelihood of them getting to the point where they would be mass manufacturing.

Production viability is one of the biggest challenges for any potential manufacturer due to organizations like Elio, Canoo, FF, Munro, Delorean, Alpha, Lordstown, and more.

Does anyone think these guys are anywhere close to actually making a working prototype, let alone a production vehicle???? I think not.

I like the concept of small truck with the bed sized equivalent of Tacoma. The thing I don't get is the performance projections. I would not want to be in a truck that goes 120+mph with such a short wheelbase, nor do I need to get to 60 as quickly as noted. I realize it's just eye candy for performance but how about focusing more on towing, range, payload capacities??? Its supposed to be utilitarian,
