I just logged in and noticed Ive got Shop access. I also noticed my Estimated Delivery went from August/September to Processing estimate. Is that normal with Shop access??

Same thing happened in my case - window went to processing estimate once I got shop access.

Same thing happened to me. Luckily, I found our config the very next day, and we are picking it up on Saturday in Franklin!

Same thing happened to me. There is wide price discrepancy in shop vehicles, it seems, a few configured like my Launch Green S for 5k more than my reservation amount. Any idea how long we have shop access, and if our original build is on hold? My reservation was 2/15/19. The logistics here are baffling. I can’t for the life of me figure out when my charger or my S will be shipped. They don’t seem to have a clue.

The shop access inventory changes frequently, as in moment to moment. I got access yesterday and found my exact configuration with same pricing. It was very easy, now have completed insurance and registration steps, waiting to hear when and where to get the vehicle. Now for the charger....

It looks like R1 Shop access is being handed out quicker. Just placed my R1T res and got access later in the day.

So are there no power tonneau covers included with builds now?

Most of the power tonneau covers broke shortly after delivery. Rivian not only stopped selling the power tonneau covers, they stopped fixing the broken ones too.

Rivian says that eventually they will come up with a new design that does not immediately self-distruct and when they do they will fix all the broken covers.

But in the meantime, you can't order the power cover, and Rivian has said that vehicles not delivered with a power cover will not be able to add it later.

Thanks. That stinks. I did hear and see reports of the cover issues. A shame because it's a great feature to have included at this price. But I imagine with the cost of it and trying to fix them they don't see the benefit. Will have to see what the aftermarket comes up with.

I just switch my reservation from R1T to R1S as that will be more practical for my family. But doing so took away R1 Shop access. Chat rep said Shop access won't come for a while due to how new the R1S is.

Has anyone seen R1 Shop access for the R1S yet? Didn't expect to get access as quick as I did for the R1T but understand they've been in production longer.

I had R1S Shop access for about 2 weeks, my wife was set on Midnight for the color. Finally found 2 on Saturday. Chose one and received my VIN (001395) on Saturday afternoon, it looked low, but was thinking I was missing something. Took a weird turn when I was looking at insurance and discovered the weird VIN was an early build with a 2022 model year designation. I am 99% certain it stated 2023 with I selected it.

Long story short, I told them I was not going to take a 1 year old vehicle at full price (pre-march), no telling why it has been there for so long. Currently waiting for shop access to restore.

When did you make your reservation?

If it was not more than 2 years ago, you're going to have to wait a while before you get R1S shop access.

Yes there is an R1S shop, but the wait list is still very long for the R1S.

Update here: So disassociated VIN after my guide finally responded late on Tuesday. Had to push for access to the Shop again. After I got access, nothing met my needs initially, so I kept checking. About an hour later, the LE showed up, Fool me once, so I checked again Thursday morning, and sure enough, one was there that met my specs. I will say Rivian does not seem in a hurry to deliver this inventory as my Trade in ('21 Tesla MYP w/ FSD) has been in review since 6am CST yesterday. I already have financing ready. Reached out to my guide, and they stated it takes several days for them to review. So, I wait.

I just checked and my delivery changed to to Processing estimate even though I haven't changed anything on my config. Is this a precursor to being invited to the R1 shop? I have a 9-21 R1S reservation and originally the estimate showed Q4 23 delivery timeline.

Even more interesting, I am still waiting on my trade in review, but my wall connector was just delivered about 10 minutes ago that is added adventure gear in my purchase.

I would assume so, this is what mine had done. I was a 1/21 order, but there were a lot in the shop when I was looking Wednesday and Thursday. Odd that they are not automatically matching to an open order. My exact config was there Thursday Morning.
