<satire>We’re only here to complain</satire>

A+ for effort and frequency of OTA updates.
I took delivery on 8/9/22 and while the mechanicals are all the same, my T is a much, *MUCH* better truck today than when I drove it home almost 12 months ago. I have lots of wants like everyone else but I appreciate completely all of Rivian’s efforts to date.

Of course. Not complaining; just stating the facts. The few releases were largely bug fixes, with little new in the way of requested/promised upcoming “features”.
Not sure. I thought the beginning of ABRP integration and route planning from the phone was a pretty major change.

Yes, that was. I’m talking about things they said were coming s00n, or that are obvious shortfalls; like phone/text integration.

Same. R1S owner since 9/22 and it’s gotten (mostly) better with each release. Albeit with a couple major hardware issues along the way. It’s a keeper in spite of the quibbles.

I can't believe they still haven't done anything to make the Tidal app better. Constantly having audio loading issues when a drive starts up. Nor making USB audio an option yet.

Similarly, I don't think I'll be excited about an update yet until it includes either a clock on the driver's display or the option to set our wheel/tire sizes through the UI instead of needing to have service refresh the entire firmware.

Honestly, while waiting for my R1T, following each of the updates and improved OS is pretty exciting (being an armchair quarterback)

It's one of the most important reasons for keeping my reservation, in seeing how proactive they are.
Obviously, they want to roll out "working" software. Not everything can be done at once, but in rewatching https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4jnZJHoxjQ it seems like they are going to hit on all of those points and more.

It's going to take a little time, but messaging, videos, xmas easter eggs and more are coming. Sounds like they are committed to doing that.

My AC compressor doesn’t make the noise others do. My mobile tech said there are dampeners that can be installed in certain parts around the compressor to alleviate the noise, or it just needs to be oiled.
I’ll file a service request then and let them deal with.

As I understand if someone buys used Rivian and brings it to a country, where no official SCs are, updates will be unavailable to them, right?

For sure, bug fixes are great. Keep them coming!
It would also be good to prioritize feature parity on things many would like to see: Text, calendar, waze, satellite radio, weather, proximity features, coast mode, smog mode, max AC, 3P apps, interior lighting controls, customized lock sounds, phone as a hotspot, offline mode, etc.
SXM needs a physical satellite receiver and a satellite antenna... the current Rivian's have neither, so SXM (direct from orbital satellites) is not possible without adding the required hardware... it's not a software thing. I'd be happy if they added the SXM app to the UI, but that won't help owners who go off grid.

But where is this fabled "Summer Towing Update" we heard so much about a few months back?
Still the summer, so August - just be patient.

Is there a place to submit bug/feature requests? I would love if the map re-centered on it's own (like most other GPS apps) after moving around instead of having to press the "recenter" button.
It does re-center itself after a certain amount of time... (don't know if it does that if you're stationary?).

True dat. It’s been discussed in other threads how this was a miss for an adventure vehicle. Maybe a hardware upgrade kit at some point, but doubtful.

Even Porsche now offers modern hardware solutions to replace the old radios of vintage 911s.
