Rivian R1T R1S Painted the key fob 640EC4D3-6426-457A-8AAF-183659EF45E1

I used a perio probe that has a small tip. The hood and liftgate were very easy. Spray the paint on a plastic surface so that you a pool of it available. Dip the probe and apply to those 2 areas. Don't worry if it goes beyond. Wait 2-3 minutes and then wipe over the 2 buttons with an isopropyl alcohol soaked q-tip (not dripping wet). Clean off all the excess with a new qtip (it may take a couple of those). It took 2 coats. The lock and unlock buttons you have to take your time and fill it in. Again wait 2-3 minutes and clean the excess on the periphery with alcohol soaked q-tip. Repeat and you'll have the same result. On Amazon you can get an Expro that will do the job:

In case you're not a dentist and don't have a perio probe lying around, this works too. I think you can buy the paint pens in gold, but I wanted white. Keep some isopropanol or acetone handy because you need a steady hand and the pen sometimes leaks a blob of paint.

I got the paint pen at Walmart for $2.50.

Can’t you just paint it really simply and then rub it with acetone at the end?

That will definitely work for the hood and liftgate but I tried that with the lock/unlock buttons. It looked so so.

Ordered the pens below and painted my FOB today.
I used a Q-Tip doused in rubbing alcohol to clean up anything outside the lines. If there was a "super Fine" tip that would have been even better as the "Extra Fine" size was just a tad too large to easily fit in the thin lines areas. Only did Unlock and Hood Up/Down as it's kind of a PITA to do and if I see either icon I know exactly what's across from it already.

Is the phone reliable enough that you can leave the fob permanently at home? If you carried the card would that be 100% reliable (if phone is dead or doesn't work for whatever reason). I'm not looking forward to carrying a keyfob around as it's been years since I've had one.
Couldn't tell you where my fob is. Wife and I use phone exclusively. Will use a key card for the occasional valet. My wife used the wristband for the first day or two but then stuffed it in a drawer. Phone is great and literally effortless.

This protective fob case has been mentioned before: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C3TB6J2X?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&ref_=cm_sw_r_ud_dp_4Y6394Y4WYQVKF8KDNXX

After seeing how tarnished the fob can get in this forum, I took a chance and bought one from Amazon; received it today. While there are no tactile features to identify each button, the plastic is fairly clear. Without color-filling the icons, I can see each icon clearly. With some muscle memory of the buttons, I don’t think the case would cause any trouble. Coloring the icons would make button ID much easier/faster.
