Dogs and Rivians ?

Our boy usually rides on someone's lap, but here he is riding solo because daddy had to take him to the vet (he'd hurt his eye). Note all the blankets I put to protect the interior from his nails, LOL. ?

My first thought was wow - I didn't know they made travel pillows for dogs Luxury!

That one is my wife's she is actually the better behaved one of the two. Mine, the big one, will open up cabinet doors where we have food and help himself. We have child locks on every food storage cabinet in our kitchen. Not for our son, he's a teenager, but for my dog.

I took 1/2 day to install child locks on all my lower cabinets too and the damn border collie figured those out in less than 2 days!

All 100k dollar vehicles are designed for wealthy suburbanites. I'd also argue that anything this expensive unless it tows 30k+ lbs is a vanity truck. IDK if this is news to you but high earning people tend to spend more on vehicles for things I'm sure you'd consider vanity.

As a function of debt to income ratio, I spent less on my 90+k dollar truck than the average American family would on a 30k dollar truck. Does that mean I made a vanity purchase or a frugal one?

Maybe we should all just get together and make a list of income levels and corresponding vehicle prices where we can rank all purchases relative to income and classify them as to whether they are vanity purchases or not. Or we could just worry about ourselves and what we can afford/spend money on and not waste our time criticizing the purchases of others.

I know that personally I don't need your opinion on whether you feel my purchase was a vanity purchase or not. Until I start asking you for money don't worry about it.

My puppy (8 months now) hates car rides ?. We're trying different positions in the car, anti nausea medicine et. We got him to stop puking the whole way but he still drools everywhere and is miserable. He's staying home (with a babysitter) for this weekend's trip.

I got the @EV Sportline board for over the rear seat to try for an upcoming trip, but for this weekend the wife wasnt up for a potential of 5 hours of drool each way.

I worked with them to find the largest crate that would fit the back of the R1S with the third row seat folded flat.

I also installed a https://twistep.com/products/twistep-pet-step-for-pickup-trucks so my dogs don't put too much force through their joints when jumping in/out of the car. I installed a 2" drop receiver adapter and the step rotates underneath the car when not in use.

The Frenchie just likes to be up front and is more extroverted while the Chocolate stays in back where she's supposed to be, and won't stay in the truck if the door is open for her to get out. In other words, one's a diva who needs to be center of attention and the other is happy to be behind the scenes.

I've not detected any impact on range. If there's any, it's negligible. One thing I should mention is because the R1S has a split gate, the Twistep for SUV won't work (it sits too far under the bottom gate). I opted for the Twistep for pickup trucks and rotate the platform out to the first position. It works really well. Measurement taken in kneel mode.
