Does anyone have any knowledge/incite into when the proposed Reno/Sparks service center will open. Rivian shows it as a future SC, but it sure would nice to get it rolling ASAP. Thanks.

Yup. Way back when, I was told in the fall. And, as you noted, we are about there. I will be getting my Rivian in a month or so, and would really feel better about it if a SC was a lot closer than Sacramento. Getting some concrete info on the Reno SC scheduling would be nice. Hey, RJ, are you out there?

Thanks for the info. That is encouraging. I was in Reno last week and had intended to drive by that location to see if anything was happening. However, I ran out of time. The job postings make it look like a real thing ?

I drove by it around July 20th. It's in a nondescript industrial park, and it wasn't totally obvious which part of the building. It's a really big building that takes up basically the whole block and has multiple tenants. But it looked like the unit on the corner had construction going on inside. No Rivian signage anywhere.
But I did hear 2nd hand from someone who talked to a person at the Sacramento SC that they plan to open in September and are hiring 2 mobile techs that will be serving Lake Tahoe.
My R1T is currently at the Sacramento SC so I may see what I can learn when I go pick it up.

Reno will be nice to have one up that way. They also have one planned for Manteca/Stockton (map says Stockton, but the marker is in Manteca lol) which will be great for more options in the NorCal area, but no idea when that one is opening.

Hey, Travis. Thanks for the update. I’m looking forward to an early September R1T delivery, presumably in Sacramento. Having that SC on the eastern side of the Sierras will be huge. I’ll look forward to any further info you hear.

I was just at the Sacramento SC this morning. They told me it's looking like late September / early October for the Reno service center. Some delays with permitting, it was originally going to be August.

Yeah. I was talking to my guide the other day and he mentioned that it was finally moving forward. I just want it open before we have another mega winter In the Sierras.

I talked to my mobile service tech today, he said opening is scheduled for September 8th!!? Super good news for folks in the Reno/Tahoe area!! They are shifting deliveries up here too and have started moving ramp trucks up from Sacramento to support local deliveries. Fantastic news!

That is great news!!!! I am tentatively looking at the first week in September to take delivery. It sure would be nice to pick it up in Reno, rather than Sac. We shall see. I love it when a plan comes together ? Thanks for the update!

Nice! Yeah the tech seemed to say they were definitely gearing up to do deliveries and PDI up here ASAP when they open the SC tentatively Sept 8th. Good news though!
