Ontario Service Centre Location

I dropped by the future Rivian Dealership on my way home from a trip to Canada’s wonderland. I was hoping for some new construction but didn‘t see much. The windows were covered in paper and looks pretty much the same as the previous comment. Perhaps work is being done inside.

Does not look like any work is going on right now.
Almost like an abandoned construction site where the builders ran out of money or have not been paid.

I went there on Sunday, so there was no work going on. I’ll try to drop by on a weekday and see how it is going.

But, Rivian was supposed to start deliveries in Ontario as early as Sept - Oct, and looking at the state of this building there does not seem to be any real haste or indication that Rivian is targetting that timeline. If Rivian was truely trying to meet this deadline, then there would be more progress/activity in that building, even during the weekends.

On the other hand, this just popped up in my order page, which I never had.
So who knows !

I’ve never seen an Ontario delivery window for Sept/Oct I thought all of us were Oct/Dec, which would put the SC October completion right on schedule. Similar to British Columbia’s 1st deliveries last November. But Rivians end of month updates will hopefully shed some light on the matter ?

just checked. I have the same little calendar icon on my Rivian account. I had it briefly when I was scheduled for the big “first mile” event in California back in 2021

I have that on mine in Calgary. I just booked a demo drive in Vancouver using a US zipcode (because they don't accept postal codes ) It doesn't mean anything.

feed it any ZIP code(eg 90210), it offers to choose a service centre for a demo. You can pick any of them.

Same switch for me. I swapped to the quad and regular battery pack a while back to try and get mine before 2024, had been holding steady with oct-dec for a while so with the service centre looking like it was on schedule I was hoping it would work out.

I noticed the Events tab a couple weeks ago. It allowed me to enter my Canadian postal code and book a test drive at the Michigan Service Centre. It gave me several dates over the next few weeks, but I couldn't make any of the available dates. It was nice to see it as an option though.

Well just go the same email and chat customer support is queued like crazy.

Jan-Feb 2024 though atleast.

But what comes first. Dodge 1500 REV (buddy at Dodge and probably want a full size truck anyhow), Rivian goes bankrupt (not likely anytime soon as I hear that have tons of cash still) or I give up and go with Ford (after all I live down the street from one of their plants so good to show support).

Got a Tesla Model S so not hurting but want to try a truck again.
