Bay Area slider installers?

Anyone know installers in the bay area with expertise in slider installs on the T? Have the EVSportline delivered, managed to spook myself and lose confidence, so now I have my tail between my legs wondering if I’ll give it a shot tomorrow, or just bail and pay a pro.

I’m curious myself. Isn’t there an install video? If you need a hand, let me know so we can both figure it out ourselves ? but I’m no mechanic!

Take all that plastic shit off the underside of the vehicle. Put it in your garage, shed, or crawlspace. Bolt the sliders in place. Done.

At least that's what I did. Except I didn't get the sliders, I got the running boards but the installation is the same.

I used SS Customs to install my EVSportline running boards. I was really disappointed that they installed them without putting the black plastic panels. You can reach out to them.

I have used custom truck in Redwood city.
I cannot speak to their knowledge of sliders.
But the did a really nice job on my 4Runner and highlander.

It looks like the slider installation is A LOT easier than the running boards if you don’t replace the plastic covers. I wish I got the sliders instead, just for that reason.

The running board install requires cutting the plastic aero panels, which is probably irritating. There are 4 bolts securing it per side.

The slider install requires removal of the plastic aero panels, which is pretty trivial. There are many, many more bolts per side.

On previous trucks, I’m bolting straight to the frame with minimal body-attachment bolt removal. Here, it’s a lot of body bolts to remove which has me personally a little spooked. We’ll see if I come to my senses later today and go back at it.

I will repeat it: Just take the plastic parts off of the truck. Don't drill holes in them. Even for the running boards.

Putting them on isn't especially difficult, but you will need a torque wrench and it really helps if you have a 1/2" impact wrench to take the bolts out initially.

Pro tip: save the cardboard box. Break it down flat so you can lay on it when working in the driveway. It's easier to slide on than concrete when you're laying down.

I installed my running boards with a friend, used a hole saw to cut holes wasn't that bad actually. Biggest "problem" was that one of the 8 screw holes didn't align on center with the hole in the mounting brackets...

I also got cold feet when it came to install, but decided to just jump in and do it.

ZEVCentric in Fremont. They carry the EVSPORTLINE boards/sliders...basically another distributor and they plan to become an installer of these boards for EVSPORTLINE according to the owner. I have my order placed with them to avoid shipping cost. Still waiting....
