@RWerksman Thanks for this! Do you have recommended settings for printing with ASA, especially to get good support/infill for the neck? Thanks!

I do, in fact we're going to be leaning in more on how to print everything we make, and where to get the STL files over the coming weeks. On the EVO, here is what we recommend:
  • Good quality ASA - we recommend Polymaker Polylight ASA
  • .2 or .28 layer height.
  • 2 walls by default.
  • 20% fill in grid, by default. This allows the bend for install and removal.
  • Snug support at 35%, build plate only. This is for underneath were the ball installs.
  • A modifier at 12.48MM upward for 3MM, cubic, up the neck of the part.
    • 45% infill in gyroid for maximum rigidity
    • 4 wall loops
One thing to note, is that we typically print a dozen of these at a time, so there may need to be some minimum layer duration settings that you would want to use depending on printer you're using. Additionally, folks have printed this at a 45 degree angle and reported good results, but we don't recommend that.

Also - for the ball it's much easier. We recommend similar settings, with no modifier, and with the opening of the ball that the bolt inserts into pointing down. We tend to go with a brim of 4mm or so, spaced at 1.5mm away from the ball.

We print these on a combination of Bambu Lab P1S and X1C printers.

Let me know if that helps.

Yep!

I'm looking to upload it to Printables this weekend in preparation for an announcement here on Monday.
