I feel like I got a good deal with my pre March pricing. I like the quad performance especially with towing a 7.5k boat. I don’t have large range requirements. And now I have a limited color.

I don’t drive much, am a fanatic for this brand and all it stands for. For me, I truly wanted OC but had to settle for the interior. In my view, a fair trade for miles on my S at the booking price might be a consideration. Anything else, not really interested in spending anymore especially after I’ve lost the ability to reclaim full federal credits on EV with a post April 15th delivery, having waiting 2 years and 9 months for the delivery and riding the roller coaster on the pre-ipo.

I haven’t done any road trips since I picked mine up, but the price premium doesn’t seem worth it to me for the added miles and what I imagine will be extra weight. Especially on 20s.

I would probably feel differently if I towed often.

No because the depreciation would be huge for a relatively new car. The marginal increase for the price to go up from large to max is already laughable. The depreciation hit on top of that is ridiculous.

Not willing to spend the money. May wait a few years and trade the X for a R2S instead

Odd poll question. Why would I give up my 835 HP Quad Motor truck that I paid $79,000 for to get a lower horsepower truck with less capability at well over $85,000? I wouldn't.

If range is all you're seeking, then maybe those few would consider it, but I see that being less than 5%. 320+ miles of range is more than enough. 410 would be nice in some cases, but my bladder can rarely go more than 4-5 hours anyway, so I'd likely never make it past 300+ miles anyway. But, for those that take LONG road trips on very regular basis, there's some added appeal. Although, with the added range and battery size, charging times will be longer, so how much time will you really save in the end?

I think people tend to overlook that you're likely to charge to 10% less in the battery, so if you are regularly hitting 80-90% to get you between charging stations, you are spending quite a bit less time at the higher SoCs when charging where the rate gets abysmal. Of course we have yet to see the new charging curve, so definitely hard to say with certainty.

Voted no. I have the T, wife has the S, both quad motor versions. Though extra range is appealing, we do just fine as they are currently. Would rather save the money (and weight) and invest in better batteries in the future, or trade in when Rivian comes up with v2 of our vehicles with all new tech and solid state batteries, hydrogen/electric, or flux capacitor.

My my driving, Large Pack is great. I don't do enough long haul drives to warrant a heavier battery (less efficient per kWh). 80/20 rule here for me as the few extra stops on a long road trip 1-2 x a year is not a major burden.

I voted no and as others have mentioned if you did get the early bird pricing plus the $7,500 fed tax credit and any state incentives ($4,000 cash in Illinois) why would you even think about it unless money is no object. Plus in my case I only drive my EV locally so the range is more than enough, if I do take a road trip I will take my ICE. I also have the LE green which is a limited edition model and maybe will be one of the first EV classic trucks when my kids decide to sell it 30 years from now.

Now that Rivian has published the Max Pack ranges for the R1T, I am curious if current Rivian owners will be considering the upgrade.

I personally am not ready to trade in because my power tonneau still works, and they haven't re-introduced them yet. Also not sure if the Max Pack will really be worth it for me until more information about the charging curve is published. What would get me to trade-in is a higher output quad with the Max pack though. Assuming the horsepower number starts with a 1.

Official Max Pack ranges:

Max Pack 21 inch = 410 Miles
Max Pack 22 inch = 380 Miles
Max Pack 20 inch = 355 miles
Large Pack 21 inch = 352 miles
Large Pack 22 inch = 341 miles
Large Pack 20 inch = 307 miiles
I was really disappointed when they originally dropped the Max. But after experiencing the Large’s inefficiency compared to my previous EVs I prefer it over the Max. Also the Large is lighter and the range is adequate for my needs. I also don’t need faster tire wear.

Just to echo what's been said above, NO because:
- Pre-2022 increase
- I rarely (once every 3 - 4 years) drive personal long trips where I would need that range. Some work trips where flying is impractical (flying is 7 hours, driving is 5 hours) force me to drive, but I get a rental on the company.
- I frequently drive 150 mile personal trips but I have L2 charging at both locations.
- My wife's X3 diesel will suffice for any long road trips we might take.
